After keeping fans waiting for more than two years, OutKast's Big Boi has justified the delays that his debut solo project, Sir Luscious Left Foot, has faced.

The Southern emcee says he viewed the album like it was his own child.
"Every song that I put out sounds totally different from the previous songs I put out. I slow-cooked this album and, man, I'm just so happy it's about to come out. I cannot wait to give it to the fans," Boi explained in an interview. "There's been a lot of stops and stars with this project. I've just been trying to make sure we've got the right avenues and the right brains and mindsets together to get the marketing and promoting behind it. When you work on something for, like, two years and 11 months, it's like your baby. You want to make sure that everybody has taken the project the way they're supposed to be taking it and the set-up is right." (Billboard)

I wouldn't be surprised if their time on top has passed. Its been over 3 years since the last album and they've waited too long between projects. Obviously whatever they drop will be dope , but I doubt they can still sell like their other albums. And having Big Boi put out his project first doesn't help. Andre has always been the more popular of the two.

Big Boi might not make moves but people are waiting on Andre 3000 like they're waiting on Detox (and while the nets bitches people will peep it when it drops). I wouldn't doubt their ability to create hit music.

It's like this:
When the album drops I'll be the first to listen to it and if it's good I'll buy it, but I'm not anticipating it.

I wonder if Royal Lush will be on it?
