Agreed, I like his beat selection during that era but his vocabulary not so much.

"I Don't Bang No More" > Against tha Grain

Not interested in this. Why don't they release some of the older Kurupt solo tracks. "I Don't Bang No More" would be perfect in CDQ.

I have to agree.  I'm not all that interested in this project.  I understand that they probably went with Kurupt for there next release because he's a little more well known by the casual fan than some Death Row artists. But so much material from that era has either been released or leaked that I wish they would have chosen someone else's project to go with first.  The Danny Boy album that was originally planned would have been interesting.  Of course I really wish they'd release Crooked I's "Untouchable" album.  Personally, I even think the "Women ond Death Row" compilation was a better idea.  I'll probably still end up buying this project, but I wish they held off on this one for a while in favor of something else.

Has the tracklisting leaked? If they gonna release some material from the "Against Tha Grain" era they should release tracks that haven't even leaked yet.

Yeah.  I hope so too.  They're probably aware of everything that leaked, so hopefully they take that into account when they're compiling tracks for this.

You think so? They already done fucked up a few times, they were sayin' that those Rage's "Necessary Roughness" tracks were unreleased and i think they said the same about those two Soopafly tracks that was on the "Ultimate Death Row Box Set". They should get some Death Row fanatic workin' there who knows about these things :D

I think it's actually a good idea because the tracklist from the retail version was fucked up so they should release the proper one as a Disc 1 and then some unreleased/unleaked tracks from the sessions on Disc 2 - that would be dope 8)

Yeah.  They've definitely screwed up a few times.  And they might not know of every single track that's leaked, but I think they're aware of the various FTP projects that have made their way onto the internet.  That doesn't mean that I think with any certainty that they'll take those bootlegs into account when they make the track list, but I hope they do.  Unfortunately, they knew the greatest hits have been released over and over and they still elected to put them on the "Ultimate Collection."

I think the tracks they gonna include on this re-release are from the "Against Tha Grain E.P." or that "Row Rider" bootleg that came out some time ago.

Well, if it is Against The Grain stuff... I just have to laugh at anyone that paid for the bootleg.

This is exactly what I've been saying all this time, your just ruining it for yourself by supporting the bootleg.

it's funny they decided to release a "re-boosted" againstthagrain, instead on concentrating on the artists actual catalog.. canadians.  ::)
Kurupt was one of the artists on The Row dat created A LOT of material in the beginning, early 90's. Kurupt was always an animal on the mic, especially so in his early 20's, jumpin on EVERYTHING he could musicaly - a 16 here, a 16 there. Except for pac - kurupt & snoop were probly the more creative individuals wit the music on Tha Row.. there's a BIG catalog of Kurupt-music in the vaults of Death Row, confirmed by Riccardo himself..

Yeah.  That kind of seems to be the new trend in music,re-releases with a few unheard or new tracks.  I don't really care for it, either.  I would prefer they just release an entire album of unreleased tracks.  With Kurupt they probably have more than enough material to do that too, if they wanted to.

This has to be the oddest choice for a release Ive heard of.The re release of chronic I got.The snoop one made sense. The boxset despite the unneccassary greatest hits disc was a good way to showcase a variety of artists.

But this?A re release of an average album?I thought they were starting with the older stuff and making their way forwards. Why would they skip all kurupts old stuff and skip to this?Makes no sense at all.I think this might be first wideawake project I wont support and hell I was even going to buy danny boy.
