maybe ruin is too strong a word, but some albums i really think they would be better without the skits
- 2001, probably not so good of an example, but i really can't stand that doctors office shit
- layover ep, the weatherman lp, i dunno why evidence has so many skits on his albums but they are fucking annoying
-
I wouldnt say any albums are ruined by skits but theirs so many with totally unneccassry skits.Slaughterhouses album comes to mind.

You Mean The Chronic???? 2001's only 2 skits was the Eddie Griffin 1, and the Pause 4 Porno (You could count the Intro as 1 I guess).
The Marshall Mathers LP - Ken Kaniff, interesting that 1 of the last great albums had a entire skit dedicated 2 guys sucking each other off.
So what was you're fist Reaction to the Eminem 1? lol First time I was like WTF?
-
yeah i meant the pause 4 porno skit on 2001
the ken kaniff skit on mmlp i could understand since he was beefing with icp at the time but after hearing it once i'll likely never listen to it again
-
Yeah, plenty of skits fucks up the flow of albums. hate it.

There's a hidden skit also at the end of the album, "are you a real doctor, dude". Sounds like Chong from Cheech & Chong.
-
All 'em.
-
yeah and em should be considered as one of the best for talkin bout shit like that? lol

All 'em.
That was gonna be my answer. But thank God Kanye stopped with the skits, his first 2 albums were flooded with them bitches.
-
All the skits on method mans judgement day album were pretty awful and their was tons of them
-

all ken's skit's ???
-
Skits are horrible overall. On albums like 2001 I just delete those tracks and pretend they never existed.
The only time skits are useful are on story telling albums like A Prince Among Thieves and Disposable Arts.
-
All 'em.

I thought skits complemented those two albums.
-
No, skits make the album and help provide an overall cohesive package. I never understood how people dont feel skits.
-
no skits ever ruin albums for me because I always skip them, but there's a handful of albums that have funny skits that I will not skip sometimes
-
The skits on 2001 were unnecessary. Slaughterhouse, Balance & Options, etc.
but some are actually pretty funny and some I don't mind though.
-
I thought the skits of heltah skeltah-magnum force were awesome. They all were one storyline that had a hilarious twist ending.
Also drag-ons first album had some of the funniest skits Ive ever heard

lol, i personally loved the Kanye skits on his first two albums. ;D 8)

If I had the choice, I'd take Doggystyle with skits. The album would be more 'empty' without them, I dunno
-
All 'em.
-
they dont ruin albums, they are just unessesary and anoying, and even worse is when they are attached to the track so not only can you not skip em, you gotta forward through em, or if your making a mix, you gotta like edit the actual file, fucking terrible

The worst is when they come before the actual track, haha

Word up, that's the truth.

First thing that comes to mind is DJ Quik - Balance & Options. Couple of useless skits on that album.
-
balance and option
-
The skits on 2001 didn't bother me, you had lolo ( more an intro ) the car bomb, ed-ucation and pause 4 porno
