on Keep It Real Dogg mack 10 says
"two well known enemies now becoming allies" refering to himself and Snoop
-
Mack 10 is supposed to be a blood and snoop is supposed to be a crip
I think thats what he meant ;)
-
Yeah, that's what he meant.
-
i wish Snoop had put one of his verses on the track
great track tho-- even got Kurupt on it
-
If you can't read into metaphors then don't listen to rap, son.
-
I always prefered that Mack 1-0 verse on Only in California, it came off better. Keep it Real was tite but Mack's verse seemed thrown in to me
-
actually he was talking about Inglewood and Longbeach.

some of us don't look at life in terms of gang wars you homo

He also said that line on Only In California. I always took it as that was the first collab with Snoop and Cube and around the Chronic album when it was released Cube and Dre had beef for a short time.
-
lol I think this was extremely obvious that he was talking about bloods and crips
-
:stupid:
even PsychoHustla would've figured this out.
-

no, it was about the Blood and Crip tension, as at the time there was nothing serious between Inglewood and Long Beach other than the red and blue rivalries, though there weren't feuding sets between those named cities. Hell, Inglewood Blood sets aren't even allied like the Long Beach Crip sets anyway... for example, Neighborhood Piru in Inglewood beefs with the Swans.
-
Yeah, that's what he meant.

Haha ya. It's even more apparent if you listen to LBC with the I-N-G. Snoop's rapping about allfrumthai being bloods and showing him love.

Holy fuck, I had totally forgotten about that song! Haven't heard it for years! Straight up classic!

He also said that line on Only In California. I always took it as that was the first collab with Snoop and Cube and around the Chronic album when it was released Cube and Dre had beef for a short time.
When was this supposed beef because to my knowledge, the main issue of Cube's beef was with the people who did business at Ruthless and was only going at N.W.A because they threw shots at him on behalf of Eazy and the group. More over, Cube and Dre were working together for years before this track came out.

Around the time the Chronic came out. I always thought the line Snoop was saying about aiming the gun at ya White Sox Hat was aimed at Cube on the Dre Day song.
Then I roll to South Central
On a Street Knowledge mission, as I steps in the temple
Spot him, got him, as I pulls out my strap
Got my chrome to the side of his White Sox hat
You tryin to check my homey, you better check yo self
Cause when you diss Dre you diss yourself, MOTHERFUCKER
Yeah nigga...

True, but that was how I took that line by Mack on Only In California. That was a big time collabo back at that time.
-
He was talkin bout Luke wit the White sox hat
-
He was talkin bout Luke wit the White sox hat
Really? Sounds more like Cube to me. Especially with the South Central line in there too.

I'm pretty sure he was talkin' about Ice Cube.

Ok yeah thanks for confirming that (& Okka). I knew I was not the only one that thought that verse was for Cube. Yeah I have never heard that track either.

Definetely not.
On a Street Knowledge mission, as I steps in the temple - Cube's company was called Street Knowledge
Spot him, got him, as I pulls out my strap
Got my chrome to the side of his White Sox hat - Cube wore a Sox hat
You tryin to check my homey, you better check yo self - Cube had a song called Check Yo Self out at the time
Cause when you diss Dre you diss yourself, MOTHERFUCKER - This line is probably referring to or suggesting that Dre brought Cube into the game or just that they were in NWA together.

Thanks. Like I said I know I was not the only person that thought that.
