ESPN's Adam Schefter just said that Welker has an ACL and MCL tear.

big loss for their playoff hopes and he has a long recovery stage ahead of him. Now that Welker clone (Adelman?) will need to come through in the post season.

that injury could have happened during a practice, he just got caught in the turf.
