Well...I've listened through the album a few times, and it is his most diverse solo album...but it is also is second worst album too. :-\
Yea, I think his Doggystyle All-Stars compilation is better than this...and there was nothing special at all on that album as well.
The first single is wack...I cannot stand it. The best song on here might just be "Beautiful," and I hate to say that cause the chorus sucks. "Stop Light" is a bad opener and those 2 intros could of been merged into one.
I like Fredwreck's impression of "Addictive" using Traci Nelson by having her "howl" in the background. The percussion he used also sound like a wannabe "Addictive." Although, I do like Snoop'd rhymes and flow on that song.
My favorite song is prolly "Wasn't Your Fault," and I've been bumpin this since the summer.
IMO "Tha Last Meal" was much better.
I love Snoop, and I use to anticipate his shit so much, now it's just like, "eah."
3.5/5

It's good to see you can say that about your favorite artist.
I just remember he came @ us with "Topp Dogg," and it was like Snoop's gettin bavk into the game. He came full circle with "Last Meal" and it was banged out. Now...he has gone a step down. Maybe cause there is no Dre...but this album is very bumpy.
I think his best raps come on "Pimp Slapp'd," and that sure does sound like a freestyle if listen to some parts.

Another thing is...whatever I'm feeling on this album...the beat...or the hook, 9/10 it is not Snoop. I'm either feeling a Fredwreck beat or a Latoiya Williams hook, which is sad...cause this is Snoop's album. His verses are just not powerfull, meaningful or catchy...so they get overlooked easily by the beats and hooks.

yeah i know, i'm doin good, just don't have the same time to spend up in here..... keepin it true
-
I'm not mad one bit there isn't any Dre production. I doubt it would of helped this album. And Daz hasn't been on a Snoop album since '96 so no one should be surprised. Yeah, I gotta agreew ith "Lolipop" being tight...if ya listen to the effects Just Blaze uses...they sound identical to the ones Dre used on "True Lies."

Yea... well, I look at it like this... we're Westcoast fans, we love shit from the westcoast... and we want to see him return that westcoast sound, however that sound won't help Snoop with his success, so he is going to do his best to get back to the commercial audience, and I think he will do that with this album... I think this album is more about the commercial audience than it is his own audience, the people who check him out daily...

Snoop rips most of these tracks...I don't know what muthafuckas are listening to but his lyrics and flow are what makes this album...The beats are maybe not as good but "Beautiful" is as good a song as any Snoop has done since Doggystyle...That song will most definitely blow up this album...

Jelly Roll's work on this album is pretty wack :(
-
IMO This album is a westcoast "Blueprint 2". Snoop is tryin just to biuld a new fanbase. And i think he will with this new album.

You've gotta be kidding me. Stoplight is the BOMB
-
Yeah, Jellyroll always comes tight. His beats on tha new Snoop are off tha hook!
Peace
-
To me "Wrong Idea" beat is Jelly roll's best work
-
Did Jellyroll do the beart for that song with Ludacris?...That's one of the few songs I ain't feeling...To me Jellyroll is pretty much a hit or miss type guy...He's got some dope beats like Stoplight and Wrong Idea and some shitty ones like that song on the second half of Last Meal, just awful...
-
Da Album iz da bomb!!!....I was'nt expecting anything good from dre nowadays so i really dont care if dre beats aint on da cd...its snoop second best cd and fuck any muthafucka that say it aint so!!!!....lol
-
P.S...EMINEM ALBUM IZ WACKER...ALL DA BEATS SUCK
-
^ Yeah okay lay off thr drugs.
Anyway...it would be sick if we could get a Snoop album with JUST Snoop...and like all the beats by only 1 or two producers. (Realisticly Speakin)
The Hi-Tek beat is tight for "I Believe In You," but AGAIN...I'm feeling stuff that Snoop had nothing to do with. I just like the beat..I don't even care for Snoop's verses. It shouldn't be like that.
-
everyone got there opinions and it seems like most people on here dont like that album and i feel the same way......you guys saying its the second best album ...ahhh i dont know......this is his second if not the worst album he has put out in my opinion....like i said before atleat on da game we had a sick banger like still a g thang.....on this we dont got anything like that....but there is a few solid cuts....but nothing big.....so in other words its in the same boat as da game

yo dawg, seriously, if u ask 90% of niggaz out their about eminems latest album, they'll tell u the beats are pretty wack, alot sound to similar and sum are pretty wack, personally i feel there above average but nuttin specail...........but imma compare them with snoops album after i heard it, still havent yet!

Songs that are good...
"Beautiful"
"Lolipop"
"Wasn't Your Fault"
"Ballin"
"Pimp Slapp'd"
"Papere'd Up"
"Boss Playa"
Still...the reasons I like these songs are most likely for the beats or hooks...then raps.
