39.5 votes for Peyton. The other 7.5 were for Brees.
-
congrats to Peyton. 8)
one of the best.
-
well deserved
-
u beat me to it
peyton = best QB ever
-
Now we just need that second ring and all that Brady talk can be put to bed.
on a side note:
I was looking at the history of MVPs in sports and Wayne Gretzky started the 80s with 8 straight MVPs, left the Oilers then finished the 80s with another MVP in LA. So between 80-89 Wayne had every MVP but one that went to Lemiuex. Throw in the 4 Stanley Cups and that's quite a decade. Almost Tiger Woods caliber athletics.

^Brady talk?
please post a quote of mine, where i said Brady was better than Peyton...-_-

Congrats to the greatest QB of all time!!

Not from you. I meant in the grand scheme of things. When history tells the story of the QB of the decade it'll be about the guy with 4 MVPs, 40,000 yards, 300 TDs, 160 starts, and the 2 rings would make it more solid than 1 ring. 2 and rings and a 19-0 season would have been ideal but stupid Caldwell already ruined that. He's still the QB of the decade no matter what happens, if they don't win this year it'll hurt that idea. And if NE wins instead with Brady then that'll kill it in the media's eyes and all will be up Brady's ass again wit their tongues swirling. Go Ravens!
-
not even 1 vote to Johnson, all 4 QBs ::)
but well deserved!
-
But then if the colts win your tounge will be up peytons ass swirling. It works both ways
-
Rivers deserved more votes; he killed it.
Farve too, you thow him on an average Vikings teams & now they are arguably the best team in the NFC.
& CJ deserved at least one vote lol.
but noticing that everybody who was voted for are the QB's for the four best teams in Football, it doesn't surprise me.
-
Johnson had a great year but his team didnt have a winning record and they missed the playoffs thats why he didnt get any votes.

I'll be doing that win or lose. The difference is the media will be too ad that Brady guy will be out of the debate.

And as I said, the difference was in how the team would have done with out the QB in question and the only two that got votes are the only two that are on winning teams that could be argued would be losing teams with the QBs that were voted for. The Vikes can go 10-6 with no Favre, so 12-4 doesn't warrant an MVP vote. And the Chargers can drive with Volek and still wrap up the West. The Saints might have lost out to the Falcons with no Brees, and same goes for the Colts with regards to the Texans and maybe even Jags. Colts could have been last in the division with out Peyton. There fore he is the most valuable.
I'd probably give Revis defensive player of the year. CJ offensive player of the year, and Manning the MVP.

^true, because we know that the Bolts & Vikings would be successful without their starting, Pro-Bowl QB's. :D
-
does chris johnson touch the ball every down?
no
PEYTON = BEST NFL PLAYER EVER
-
^wrong, QB's don't win games. ;)
hence, you can't be "the best" because it's a team effort to win. :)

QB's win games more than ever now
even Sanchez was a huge part of the Jets game today....despite having 2 huge drops by WRs he had 80% passing and a 139 passer rating

Yeah, me. QB play is always a big factor in a win or loss but a QB does not win a game alone and in tonight's case Revis was just as valuable than Sanchez by completely shutting down Chad which have been a difference maker in a close game.

You wanna argue the Bolts fine but the Vikes were 10-6 last year splitting games with Frerotte and Jackson. They can still win with no Favre.

clearly valuable enough to get them a Bye Week in the playoffs.
Curtis Painter on the other hand, he was thrown in against the best defense in the NFL & then in a blizzard; i'd like to see him play in a dome vs. the 49ers & the Seahawks. ;D
