Atlanta super producer Demetrius Stewart better known as Shawty Redd appeared in court today to discuss bail. Prosecutors argued that the producer should be held without bail, but his bond was set at $200,000.

As Def Sounds previously reported, Shawty Redd made his first court appearance on January 3 to discuss what he was being charged with and the issue of bond. Shawty's lawyer was out of town so his bond hearing was rescheduled for January 12 hearing, and that he must remain in custody until the hearing.

The lead detective in the case recently spoke with Hip Hop Enquirer's Dennis Byron about details in the investigation. Reports state Shawty Redd was cooperating fully and Redd himself contacted 911 after the shooting took place.

A witness reports Shawty Redd was being threatened by the deceased, now identified as Damon A. Martin, prior to the shooting in which the Atlanta producers legally registered gun was fired.

lets hope the 'lead detective' can get to the bottom of this mysterious case. hang on, didn't the dude already turn himself in for murder?
