I got it, i heard it.
Let me say it like it is: Damn i´m calm down.
I was on the here reading the topics of thoese who had
heard the album allready. Most of them realy kinda hated it, somehow.
They where talkin bout if this was Snoops worst and stuff.
Snoops Worst? Damn now. NOW, dawg.
It haves good songs, it haves avarege songs and it haves
BOMBs like LOLLIPOP. When i hear LOLLIPOP i cant sit down,
i need to get a dance on. There are other songs then LOLLIPOP that
is some real WOW shit right there. To be true, it have many -of tha hook, real good BOMB- hits.
I´m a lil bit sorry that so many people dont like it, cus it
isnt Crip Hop, or cus Dre aint on it, or cus it isnt like Doggystyle.
ITS GOOD, SNOOP DID IT AGAIN.
++++++++A lil review will be on soon, i think.++++++++

You can only appreciate this album if you're into more than just west coast gangsta shit. More than just hardcore hip hop. People always say tha west needs more diversity, well Jellyroll's pretty fuckin diverse but I don't see him getting his props. I can't truly say where this album stands right now, since it just came out, but I'm impressed so far.
Peace

I ordered my copy from play.com yesterday, can't wait to hear this shit.
I thought the current single was pretty tight, so hope the rest is too.

Yah..I think you have to be into eastcoast hip hop to like it. Cos lately all I listen to is eastcoast (and dirty south) and I think this CD is off the hook. Plus, the major rap magazines like it and other rap boards..so something is up..

i'm really feeling this album. it's not a completely west coast album, but as snoop said it's about good music, not about coasts. I think tha last meal was a better produced album, but ptctbtb gives us a snoop with equal lyrics to lat meal, but a better (aggresive vocal) delivery since doggystyle. I wrote an article about snoops vocals a few months back on this and the doggystyle forum. Anyway tracey brown (mixer for some doggystyle records tracks)read the post and responded, & must have passed it on to snoop.
anyway, it's a dope album imo, not perfect. I'll also review the album soon.
p.s. the one and only is a classic (sorta like the eastcoast version of bacctraccin').
i don't know how some people are comparing to da game...
but everyones entitled to their opinions.

I think it sounds great. It still sounds westcoast, to me, too, with a touch of eastcoast. This is the new westcoast stuff here.

K Neptunes impressed me for Beautiful BUT what the fuck is this hook? The beat sounds okay (thats more then wut I usually expect from the NEptunes) but he fucks up the song with his gay singin...
From tha chuuch to tha palace... it would be a good song with anoter instrument.. cuz the beat is fuckin annoying
Lollipop... Not bad... Nate dogg is okay in it (he can do better but he did it good...) Snoop is aight in it... Jay z is fuckin wak. Soopafly is the best of the song in my opinion so the song is juss chill, nothinn wak, nothin classic...
Pimp Slap... Good song, I like it
Ballin ... I dunno, not really my type of shit but Snoop comes out okay, Im sure I will like it if I give it some time
Paper'd up ... annoying
Suited and Booted ... One of the best I heard so far, I like it
From Long Beach to Brick City ... Cant wait to hear Warren G's Part...
Thats what I think So far... Snoop'S albums ranking...
1- Doggystyle
2- Doggfather, almost equal...
--
3- Last Meal
4- No Limit Top Dogg
5- Paid the cost to be tha boss
#3-4-5 are almost equal ... Tha Game is to be... no comments...

From Long Beach to Brick City ... Cant wait to hear Warren G's Part...
Ok u can wait again cuz theres no warren g on that song
-
First, lemme ask y'all why you think these songs are tight, like "Lolipop." Do you like them cause of the beat, the hook, Snoop, Soopa's or Jay's verses? Point out something that is tight, rapped by Snoop. Cause I think a lot of y'all are liking these songs cause of the guests or beats or even hooks.
-
snoop isn't singing on beautiful, it's pharrel and charlie wilson.
ballin and suited and buited imo are the worst tracks, and everyone killed lollipop.
-
Alright, tight snoop stuff from Stoplight. I'll bite :)
First off, the beat is Bangin.
The hook is cool as hell.
Snoop's voice is on point.
He's telling a story, that's my favorite part of it, he's talkin' about drivin' down the road, pullin' up at the stoplight, it's rush hour traffic, Snoopy Collins is on the Radio, Soopafly calls up to talk to the DJ, requests the new snoop song 'Stoplight', Snoop talks about how hard he is, how nice his car is, lol. Just good stuff.
"Half past late, and I'm still rollin, still hoin, and a niggas pockets still swolen"
I just classify that as tight as hell. The whole songs like that. Snoop's done put the trademark on that flow that switches rhymes up in the middle of a sentence.
-
Oh wait, LOL you said "Lollipop" lol. Here ya go
Beat is awesome.
The way snoop rides it is awesome, too. I can't really rep what they're rappin about but the flow is great, I think. I like Jay's verse, too, Soopa I've never been a big fan of, he's SOOOOOOOOO friekin' filthy, lol.
Hook is awesome, LOL that's original
"Snoopy, Snoopy, you so fine, can I give you a little piece of the pie? Shake it, Take this thing from me, cuz you just flow so Viciously"
-
What do y'all think about the song "I miss that bitch" ?
How do y'all rate:
*E-white verse
*Snoop verse
*Snoop singin on the hook
*Hi-tek beat

I kinda anwered the question...
-
This album is dope...His raps are still average and he does get outshined at times by Rage, Ludacris, Jay-z etc. but his flow and delivery are on point...When I listen to Snoop that's what i listen for, if I wanna hear lyrics I pop in Ras Kass or Nas...And the beats for the most part are fire...
-
*stoplight is incredable, and it is still growing on me, snoops flow is awesome
*lollipop is great i love the way the redid vicious flow, jigga sounds offbeat though like someone said before you just feel like dancing, i wish snoop busted another verse and they took jay z off
*hourglass i really feel i like everybody on the song and the beat is another different type tight beat
*pimp slap, suitted and booted, long beach to brick city, boss playa, wasn't your falt, are all tight songs that i already heard
-----overall i am really feelin it, my first listen i was like it's ok not that great, but my second listen i skipped through a couple of songs like ballin, i believe in you, and chuuch to the palace and i was like " :o " this is tight i banged the whole thing----this cd is tied with the last meal to me better beats on the last meal overall but snoops flow is better on this still below doggystyle and top dogg though
-
im feelin this cd 2 and i dunno why every1s hatin.. c me i dont compare it 2 there past albums i rate em like there all by sum1 else or sumthin and its tite STOPLIGHTS A TITE ASS TRACK
-
"Now bitch, check it out, where my money, c'mon break it out
Just sayin hoe, I ain't playin c'mon, take it out
Dick down the track, c'mon, we gon' work it out
Straight pimp shit we on, we gon' church it out
(If you don't know) I'm quick to change up stick
My dick in yo' mouth and aim up
Open up your eyes you'll see my navel
Flip down my drawers, you'll see that label
Sniffed so much 'caine/Kane, the bitch got able/Abel
Put the switch on, directed my cable
Splash! What head work and what ass
Bitch stop my dick hurtin, now fuck Daz
Run fast if I tell ya bitch walk
Get caught, I'm takin all that bitch got
I don't need no relationship
All I really had in mind was my dick, yo' face and lips, c'mon"
Soopafly comes tight as fuck on "Lollipop"
-

1.Doggystyle
2.Last Meal
3.Paid the Cost
4.Top dogg
5.Doggfather
6.Da game
-
yeah this album is slowly growing on me, im happy...
however, i think its incorrect to say that if u dont like this album its cuz u aint into eastcoast shit
i love east coast shit...but when i buy a snoop album i expect the west coast sound to be the foundation of the albums production with a lil branchin off into different directions...
but u know what, snoops growin and we should all accept calvin broadus's growth....
only songs i liked when i first heard the album:
boss would like to c ya
lollipop
pimp slap
boss playa
long beach to brick city
songs that have grown on me
paperd up
ballin
suited n booted
beautiful
-
btw, Jigga killed Lollipop, everyone came tight on that
