Apparently some Dutch producer "SoulSearchin"
edit. oh so he produced one track for Mood Muzik 3 too.. so that's probably why they worked togeter now.

he did a good job.
i mean, they are the type of rappers who don't need top of the line beats because their lyrics are what carries the song.
but he came through. 8)

Exactly, the beats arent supposed to be the stars of the show.It makes me sad when people go oh the beat this the beat that. The beat should be secondary to the music. As long as the beat isnt garbage mind you.But when people go oh I didnt like the slaughterhouse album i didnt care for the beats.Well if you listen to slaughterhouse for the beats then you already lost.Theirs nothing wrong wth listening to some young jeezy and whatever for the beats but when that becomes your everthing your not a well rounded hip hop fan.Maybe just me but when people say they like gucci its because of his production. Then I listen to it and its same generic 808 south production on every song.I dont get it.
-
How can you dismiss the importance of the beat?
That's silly.
It is the music. It is the atmosphere for the track. It's the setting. If it didn't matter they should all just do spoken word poetry and not hip-hop.
-
You totally took what I said the wrong way.A beat is important, but today most fans make it their end all and be all.Hence why someone like gucci mane can sell records and be one of the worst rappers to ever grace a mic.The beat should be secondary to the rapper,to compliment him and the song.It shoulndt be the everything, which has what happened to mainstream hip hop.

people shitted all over the Slaughterhouse album for having weak production; even though i thought "Microphone" was one of the top beats last year.
but regardless of that, you don't need top notch production to say Crooked I or Joell spit an amazing verse.
like you said, when you listen to shit that isn't lyrical & it's for "entertainment", it's like 95% beat, 5% what Jeezy is saying lol.
i'm not saying all Slaughterhouse needs is the beat of a drum, but something that is "average" is good enough.
even though, i really feel the beats on that album got way more hate than they were given.
-
I actually loved the production on the album it complimented their styles perfectly. It just wasnt full of synthy jim jonsin sounds and 808 drums which is why it was hated.
-
damn this is dope and this is the joe i like not that soft muzik...lol
is that no comin back royce freestyle a diss to canibus?

or some Dre shit.
i swear, it's like Dre or Premier can't make a bad beat; but when it is some no name, it's suddenly some god awful mess that shouldn't have been blessed on the album lmao.
-
Sane wth kanye and timbo. They used to be two of my favorite producers but now their just boring.I skip most of their songs these days.Dre is undeniable but lately even his production has been hit or miss. And premo is half the man he used to be behind the boards.

the beats weren't terrible but they weren't anything great either. i got bored listening to the cd half way due to the production
-
Well we just have opposite tastes. You enjoy gucci, who I get bored with in less then 30 seconds due to his terrible rapping. He could have the greatest produced song ever, doesnt change the fact hes terrible.Id rather listen to his instrumentals. And even then I dont even think their that good of produced songs, just the same generic deep bass southern sound.

For real, dunno how the fuck he got as much shine as he did, sounds like a mumbling retard on a track
This track goes, Joey and Royce both murk it
-
for real it sounds like theres somethin stuck in his system, but even if he was a dope rapper of any kind that wouldnt be a problem but damn hes one of the worst on every level

You get a 100 percent cosign on the Gucci comments. We know how bad his lyrics and flow are sometimes/most of the times. So I used to think, how everybody jumpin on a song with him, he must have the best beats out at the time. So I'm gettin instrumental cds thinking that I shouldn't have no problem writing to one of his beats but then I hear the shit and I'm like wtf, like u said, it's some generic bullshit. I don't know about the joints he do with other people, I'm talking about HIS CAMP'S PRODUCED BULLSHIT.
-
his voice....sounds like the plumber cant even help him out
and he says ITS GUCCI at the start of every song....as if noone can identify him and his weird voice....lol

Damn, I thought this was about Joe Budden, not Gucci.. but it fits for Button as well.. sounds like he's got a chicken-bone stuck in his throat..
This track would be 10 times better without Button, annoying adlibs on the intro & outro, trying to sound tough, mumbling bullshit. :grumpy:

nah im talkin bout gucci...and whats even worse...is nows there this new duke wacker than wacker fucker wacka flacker...haha
