Title: Which Producer Came The Tightest ??
Post by: Dope Money Clean on November 27, 2002, 03:25:54 AM
They all did a  great job.         I like how  they all got  2 beats on there  ...  the mega producers anyway  ( Tek , Premo ,  Fredwreck)

I wanna say  Fredwreck simply because of that    "LB TO BRICK CITY"   beat.

But then  Premo  came vintage  with his 2 tracks!

Jellyroll fucked up  with the   "YOU GOT WHAT I WANT"  beat.   That shit is  too experimental for me!

I dont like the Neptunes too much  but   "BEAUTIFUL"  is   dope.

Hi Tek  dropped  2 real laid back  soulful beats.        "I BELIEVE IN YOU"  is  a  smash hit!

I cant vote for just 1 ........  Its a  3 way tie.   Hi Tek , Premo , and Fred     ;D

Fredwreck without a doubt. Snoop and Fred are the shiznit together. His flute is unfucwitable. His songs are amazing. Well ok, Boss PLaya is average. KInda laid back. But anyone remember the song BOSS UP from the advance, that was a fredwreck track, i think they should have used that one instead.

Hi Tek is a very good producer, but him and Snoops dont make a good combo. He produced some tight songs from Talib but those on the Doggystyleall Stars comp and Paid the Cost were average.

Who Voted for Jelly Roll? As for Jelly Roll...hmm shit. I cant stand his production. The 3 worst beats on the album are Jelly Roll produced songs, You Got What I Want and Stoplight are horrible. Snoop should stay away from him cause those traks fucked up the album. Wrong Idea and ON The BLVD are the only Jellyrolly tracks that I liked. Theres not one fuckin Soopafly song on there, why not use Soop, more Battlecat or even Scott Storch instead of JEllyroll.

I liked Primos production on there even though he's East Coast to the fullest. Him and SNooop go well together.

I picked the Neptunes Muthafucka...Snoop best flow on the album comes in Beautiful and second on From tha chuuuch to da palace.  Fredwreck came tight aswell as Premo but Neptunes and Snoop sound dope together IMO.  I think Im more open minded about music than alot of other people on here tho.  And BTW, Im feelin Hi-Tek's shit too, I like the soulfoul tracks he did for this album.  "I believe in you" is an amazing song, and "I miss that bitch" is also good for me.  Overall this album has good production on it, but not one producer really stood out in my view.  I think Paid tha cost has a good consistancy when it comes to the beats.

Primo

Word, Primo did a great job, especially on "The only one".
Neptunes did some tracks they probably didn't even want for money for, as they picked it up from the floor.

 Hi Tek  - Horrible
 Premier  - Great
 Fredwreck - Pretty good
 Neptunes - Awful
 Jellyroll - Ok
 Battlecat - Boring

Now these would be dope on a Snoop-album:

Alchemist
Dr.Dre
Scott Storch

And if they could keep Primo, Wreck & add Meech on there, you would probably get a better result.

Fredwreck IMO. It might have been Primo but that Batman beat was kind of a disappointment for me.
