where was Dre in the 2000s? I guess 2001 dropped 99 but GRODT, MMLP, Encore etc alone must have put him up there. Or is this based off total sales, so like if a producer puts out loads of beats they could top the list?

I'm guessing it's based on singles on the charts.

Neptunes were unfuckwitable at the start of the 2000s but as Kanye, Timbo & will.i.am started running shit towards the end of the decade, record sales had declined massively. So they were never gonna catch up, cos no-one was doing 5mil anymore.

That's why Scott Storch is up there, despite being in rehab for last 4-5 years.
