Title: Vikings vs. Saints
Post by: Chamillitary Click on January 24, 2010, 02:59:08 PM
i'm already past the Jets game; i'm disappointed, but there is still Football to be played.

i really don't care who wins this game, i don't really care who wins anything; from here on out it's about making bets for the Superbowl lol.

but i am kind of rooting for Farve; i'd love to see him win a ring. 8)

I think the Saints are going to win it. Never-the-less, go Vikings.

You must be able to see the future, because I saw him win a ring on January 26, 1997. ;D

Bush fucked up major what an idiot, take a fair catch. They got lucky Favre/AP fucked up that hand off too though. Guess it cancels out. Awesome game so far though!

Even with all the turnovers and mishaps, Minny has a chance to drive down and kill this clock with a game winning FG

WOW! WTF was he thinking. Dumb penalty to take, a 51 yarder is way better than a 56. Run a quick outside route and get 5 yards at least to bring it back to a 51 yarder. Favre is old and can't run I know but he had so much space to get a few yards and get outta bounds or call a TO. Instead, he throws it across his body, across the field? WTF was he thinking  :-\

I don't trust Garett Hartley. Let's see...

sick game; i really didn't think he was hitting that.

Farve will think about that INT late in the fourth for a long time.

all he had to do was run with it & Longwell would have had a good shot at it.

Brett being Brett. For what it's worth I didn't see the dude making a 50+ yarder in that crowd with that noise.

No disrespect to the Saints but they got that game handed to them. So many missed opportunities by the Vikings...and then Brett just has to top it all off with that interception   ::) Wished the Vikings would of won but in the end I'd rather see the Saints take the bowl over the Colts

^i agree, the Saints did not see the best Vikings team tonight; but that's the game of Football.

lol that's true Cham. Man that pass interference really killed the Vikings...I thought that was total bull though, I mean the guy obviously had no chance of catching that.

oh god, that was a fucking joke lol.

i was hoping they reviewed it or something; because that ended the game right there & it was absurdly uncatchable.

but it should be a good matchup for the Superbowl; the two undefeated teams of eariler in the season finally meet on the grand stage.

I don't care what they say about him. If I was a Vikes fan I'd be glad we at least made it to the AFC Championship game. No Brett and at best they are 10-6, with a wildcard spot and out in the first round.

not to mention they could be going to Miami if they didn't fumble like fifteen times lol.

i think give this team another go around next season (given Brett holds up another season) & they could very well find themselves in the same position.

Brett played great as always, and as always he made a Brett throw that hurt them at the end. I'm laying off because I can't imagine the FG being good. If he ran to the sidelines instead of thrown the ball it would have been 50+ yards on an angle. No way.

Vikes outplayed that Saints and would have had a better shot against the Colts. When the Saints were undefeated I said they were too lucky in some of those wins to go perfect. And now I'm saying they were too lucky in these playoffs to win the Superbowl. When the Vikes ran up the score last week I predicted doom. The Saints ran up the score against the cards and now it's their turn suffer. The Colts have been all class all year. They never ran up the score or taken cheap shots and even put the championship ahead of the perfect season. I think the Gods of Football will reward them.

Favre certainly returns next year and they have as good a shot as winning it all as they did this year; very realistic.

If he has the energy. He's old and he has nothing to prove in my eyes. The last three seasons might be enough for him to finally hang it up. I still hope he gives it another go.

vikings got fucked over on the last pass interference call, but then again they had opportunities to not be in that situation in the first place. all those fumbles + the end of the 4th was a fuckin disaster. WTF @ that 12 men huddle penalty lol. and my heart just sank when favre threw the interception

nonetheless i'm happy for reggie bush, but i think colts are taking this

It's a real shame his career didn't end in 07 with a Super Bowl victory while keeping the Pats from going perfect at the same time. That would have been perfect in itself.

THEY GOT FUCKIN ROBBED .. the refs really dont give a shit, they prolly just wanted to go home... what they need is instant reply on the refs calls

I dunno about robbed..5 turnovers and wins don't go together in the same sentence. They're lucky they were even in with that many mishaps; most playoff teams put away a game if they have 5 takeaways.

that was the clincher. Totally won the game for the saints- setup the chip shot field goal and broke the saints back..

granted there were alot of opportunities for both teams to put the game away at different parts of the game, but that by far was the gamebreaker, in ot!

Vikings should not have turned it over so much.  The hit below the belt on Favre is questionable.  If they gon have the dumb Tom Brady rule, ENF4CE IT!  And not just for Brady either.  I feel sometimes the refs will just let them play.  I'm very sure the refs did that in sports, call something so they can go home early.  And yes sports leagues need to start having replay on the refs/umpires calls too.  And punish them hardcore for their biases too.
