ohh kk; well it depends on your league settings. but this is how the default works in a 12-team league:
The top 2 teams get a bye in the first round.
The 4th rank team faces the 5th rank team; the winner of that match at the end of the week faces the 1st ranked team in the second round.
The 3rd rank team faces the 6th rank team; the winner of that match at the end of the week face the 2nd ranked team in the second round.
The final round is where the winner from the second round face off for the championship.
Round and 2 are basically the same as a normal week; the only difference is the match-up means more. Also, they have a tie breaker in the event the score is tied at the end. I think they take whoever has the most points as the winner, but you can double-check in their rules section.
The championship round is usually a little longer; about a week and a half to two weeks depending on league settings. It also works the same way as any other week, expect you're fighting for the league championship.

ic ic good lookin, but how does the players work? you have to drop all your players and get players in the play offs?

nope, you keep the same roster as you currently have right now. and you get to make moves like any other week.
so you just keep an eye out for hot prospects, especially during the final few games.
especially with Eastern players, it can benefit you or harm you because some of the top players get benched once their seeds are locked in, or get limited minutes (e.g. Cavs will likely bench LeBron on the last game or two if the spot they are in is already locked).
there basically is no real difference in how anything works; its just match-ups to determine who the league champion will be.
