Probably we'll never see a solo album from Butch Cassidy....
Butch should hook up with Quik,a whole album together would be amazing,no featurings just Butch and Quik.
Whaddyall think ?

Yeah, that would be good, they have made dope collabos together. "Can't Go Wrong" is their best collabo so far.
-
I would like to see album by Butch & Battlecat (smooth producer & smooth singer and i know it wont happen)
-
Butch Cassidy is over-rated. He's got a few good tracks, but a whole album? Come on.

I like hearin' Butch Cassidy doin' hooks or him doin' an track with somebody rappin'. that's why a collabo album with somebody like DJ Quik would be tight. What ever happened to that "Black & Brown" collabo album that Butch Cassidy was supposed to release with somebody? I can't remember dudes name.

Butch is very very dope. And i think he can handle a solo record. People say the same with nate dogg but my favorite songs are his solos. Quik and Butch would be very dope that's for sure. I've dreamed of a duo album nate & butch. too bad they didn't collabore together after g funk classics. even if butch said he worked on a nate solo album

i meant that butch said around 2004 or 2005 that he was in the studio with nate dogg for nate's future solo album. Nothing came out of this. Nate and Butch's tracks on the g-funk classics are.. classics 8)

I'd prefer a Quik, Snoop, Devante, Warren G, & Butch Cassidy album. No other features besides some archived Nate vocals. None of these Kurupt/Quik albums, Butch Cassidy/Quik albums, because when it's just 2 artists, it turns out wack

What collabo albums have turned out wack? "BlaQKout" was weak as fuck though, only one track i still bump from it ("BlaQKout")

DJ Quik/Kurupt - Blaqkout
DJ Quik/AMG (Fixxers) - Midnight Life
Jay Z/R-Kelly - Unfinished Business
Those I can think of at the top of my head, but there are a lot, and they usually wind up wack, when they don't meet the expectations when it's 2 big named artists with a previous record of quality

Was "Midnight Life" even released? Fuck that Jay and R.Kelly record though. Name some West Coast collabo albums that turned out wack.

IMO their best collaboration together would be i need you girl...song from malibus most wanted
damn the beat is gangsta and butch came thru

Maybe he has more then a few dope tracks. But he ain't a solo rapper. A whole album with Butch and Quik would be a disaster, just like that Kurupt album (which was bad for a variety of reasons) and the Fixxers album (which was a train wreck from the start).
My dream Quik album would be something like the Konnicted project. Why not do another? Quik doing the beats, get some of the old crew back together, Hi-C, Suga Free, AMG, guys like that, throw in some old Mausberg verses. That would be dope.

San Quinn/T-Nutty - A Warrior and a King (Like a lot of San Quinns material, but this album was pretty weak IMO)
Outlawz/Dead Prez - Can't Sell Dope Forever (Same thing, former Outlawz fan, but always loved Dead Prez, and thought this could re-grow Tha Outlawz and fire some passion into their music, but turned out a dissapointment)
Daz has put out wack collab material as well, and that Jay Z & R-Kelly although not West Coast is relevant to the discussion because it's mentioning 2 vets with a reputation and reputable fan bases, but when brought together it ends up wack. I can still remember people jumping up and down thinking it was great that Quik & Kurupt were going to do an album together dubbing it classic before it had even been released, and the end result was that it was a pile of trash with 2/3 good songs at best!
What these old timers need to perfect a collaboration album is to have more than just 2 people. They need a combination of artists/producers to make it a combined team effort.
Quik, Warren G, Devante, Snoop, and Butch Cassidy would make it a decent album, and hopefully 2-3 extra heads would be good input into preventing certain tracks from being put on an album, and usually with a majority vote of 5 people is a hell of a lot better than just 2 people. Look at individual tracks. Anyone remember "Don't Tell" from Snoops No Limit Top Dogg album? If I remember right it had both Quik & Warren G producing, Snoop, Jewell & Mausberg on the mic. That's 5 people. Group collaborations for vets are better than twin collobo's

"don't tell" is crazy. Nate's verse is fire. Warren g on the mic too.

A muthafuckin' classic but Warren G had nothin' to do with the beat of "Don't Tell". It was produced by DJ Quik. I think Mausberg wasn't featured on the original version though. Snoop Dogg said "Mausberg i had to put you on my song, it's so real i had to show some love" on "Pimp Slapp'd".
-
i always thought that it was a kind of deal from dj quik, like i produce a song for you but you have to get my protege on it. So it's an homage from snoop to mausberg??
-
I can't even remember Warren G being on there, I do recall Nate Dogg now that you mention it but granted it's been a good number of years since I've heard that gem. Mausbergs verse added
