Both albums came out around the same time (05), both westcoast legends who produce there whole album and had alotta features on both albums, what album was better?
-
Definitely Trauma. Don't get me wrong, I like "in the midnight hour" a lot more than most Warren G fans I know, but "Trauma" is one of Quik's best records.
-
trauma was (is) the shit 8)

trauma & "in the midnight hour" (is) shit 8)

Trauma is the better of the 2 but I really didn't like either. Quik wins because of "Black Mercedes" alone.
-
easy, Trauma.
Warren is very tight but he can't touch Quik behind the boards.
-
Hmm I love both of those albums, but Trauma for me takes it.

Both r 3 mic ( the source) albums. Nothing special

Yeah that spur the moment still sounds fresh ass fuck to this day

I can't believe there is actually a discussion about this. How does anyone compare DJ Quik to Warren G ??? Quik's concept, ingenuity, and understanding of music is lightyears beyond Warren G's. JUST LISTEN. People must be running out of things to talk about.

overall i didnt enjoy either...but i guess quik just cause spur of the moment shits on everything else both those albums gave us..

lol no its not. Safe and Sound, Rhythamalism, Balance and options, Quik is the name and Way to fonky top trauma. Although trauma is a good album its not on the level of his previous albums
-
Trauma. More tighter tracks with replay value.
-
Hard choice...
Trauma had more standout tracks, but overall I have enjoyed ITMNH more.

Who fucking cares what The Source gave them? Especially in 2005? 3 Mics = Not signed to Interscope but still didn't do a song with Benzino.
-
I gotta go with "Trauma" too but "In The Midnight Hour" had some great tracks too.

Reviews are opinion, not factual.
I really enjoyed Trauma when it came out and couldn't understand some of the hate it was getting on here, perhaps it was because it wasn't what people were expecting from Quik.
-
Trauma is the better album, but Warren G dropped 5 or 6 sick beats on his album and buried it under a load of filler.
-
In The Midnight Hour was a boring ass album. Easily Trauma was better.
-
I bought both these albums the year they came out. Both tight albums but i'll go with Trauma. In The Mid-Night Hour was dope tho and Bishop had some nice features on it but Trauma had tighter beats and features. I liked both intros too, "Intro For Roger" and "On My Mind (11:59 P.M.)" were siiiiiiiick.
