Title: Rare Daz production from 1995 for Lost Boyz?
Post by: LodiDodi on February 03, 2010, 06:04:06 PM
This is listed as Lost Boyz - Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz (Dat Nigga Mix)

The beat kinda has that Daz style to it from the era, especially the keys.  Dogg Pound and Lost Boyz did collab on the Music Makes Me High Remix back in '97, so there's a chance they could have worked together a couple years earlier.  Can anyone ID if the producer is Daz? Maybe Daz himself can answer?

hell no
not Daz Dillinger by a longshot.

remixed by Dat Nigga for the 12''-release of "Jeeps, Lex..".
Dat Nigga also remixed some songs for Big L

Interesting that "Dat Nigga" also produced a remix of another Lost Boyz track and they titled it the "West Coast Mix"

Dat Nigga is not Daz, he was an in-house producer for Lost Boyz.I don't know what tracks he's remixed for Big L, discogs only lists his productions for Lost Boyz (but they're sometimes incomplete)

Yeah I was just wondering if it was possible.  I was looking for 90's vinyl online and came across the Lost Boyz 12" for JLCB&B and saw the Dat Nigga remix.  Thought it was weird that it had a west coast vibe to it, maybe Daz couldn't use his whole name because Death Row didn't let their artists perform or produce for other labels back then (not counting soundtrack appearances like Keep The Heads Ringing, Just Dogging, etc.)

Anyway, I'd like to hear the stuff Dat Nigga did for Big L if anyone has info on it.
