Eminem has already been confirmed to have been locked in the studio with heavyweights like Just Blaze and Dr. Dre and Relapse 2 just got even bigger. XXL Mag sat down with producer The Alchemist in which he shed even more details on the project, confirming that while he has not yet scored a record on the project, Em is working with DJ Khalil. He also touched on the chemistry created between Just & Eminem:
On DJ Khalil:
“Khalil—who I think is like the best producer right now to me—he had been sending records to Em for a while that wasn’t like, they weren’t like clicking in,” Alchemist told XXL. “Em knew he was dope but they haven’t found the right one. And I think they found a couple joints now… the joints they have are crazy. I can’t say 100 percent [that he made the album], but I have heard at least two joints Khalil did and they’re fuckin’ stupid.”

On chemistry with Just Blaze:
“He clicked with Em,” he said. “It was really amazing, too. They really vibed and made some music, beyond like Just just sending him beats, it was nothing like that…I think it’s a perfect meshing of the two…If you could imagine what they could bring to the table at this point, it’s pretty close and maybe a little more.”

Man I'm confused. So there's still going to be an actual album called "Relapse 2"? Relapse Reloaded isn't the same thing?

Relapse 2; they make it seem like it's done, but i don't project this album to see the likes of 2010.

Relapse: Refill was just to keep the fans happy. basically all the extra tracks from Refill were meant to be on the original Relapse 2, but then the direction of that album was scrapped and he started doing shit with Just Blaze. Since Em didnt want the tracks to goto waste, he released them on what we know as Relapse: Refill

true I've kind been wondering the same thing...I hope we do in fact see it this year. It sounds like we might finally get a dope Em cd after these past couple disappointments.

ehh, i hope so & i'm excited for it, but anything you hear is lying hype.
i remember some guy (forget who, but he was a rapper or producer) & he was sayin' how Relapse (the first one) was "back to the old Slim Shady & it had "one of the darkest feels an album has ever had" & i mean, even though i enjoyed Relapse, it wasn't anything as advertised.
we're just going to have to hear the single & determine from there.

I'd take an album without Dre beats any day if it was full of Khalil and Blaze. Now Em just has to hook up with Denaun Porter & Black Milk and represent the D's production. Stop spitting about rape, mommy issues, and gag jokes.

i guess i would take an album without any Dre beats; but i would want an album with Dre beats.
i don't see why Eminem can't just have like 3 songs produced by each producer.
Dre, Khalil, Blaze, Porter, Black Milk, Alchemist & some of his own.

I'm still waiting for an album with material created by Khalil, porter, focus, black milk, hi-tek but produced by Doc Dre. That's what I thought the Reformation was going to be but that ain't happening.

i was for the first Relapse & even though it wasn't a disappointment, to me; it still didn't live up to what people made it sound like it was going to be.
so fuck what people tell me about this second one; but i'm definitely hyped for it.
everything he's dropped/featured on since Relapse has been real dope; Forever feature, Drop The World feature, Refill, etc.
so i am optimistic about it, i'm just not listening to what anybody says about it. :P
