Rick Rock is everywhere right about now, from cali underground compilations to the mainstream with beats on the new busta rhymes album and other east coast rappers.
In my opinion he's a tight producer, i like his style.
What do y'all think ?
-
Didn't you just say Scott Storch was the hottest over @ Out of Bound??
Anyway...nah, he is tight, but all his beats are all too similar. Each one sounds like that last, and you can pick his style out very easily.
I like his beat on "Sticky Fingaz."

Exactly.
Besides, he only make dance/club tracks.
He's like the more creative version of Irv Gotti, and without all the samples.
Give me rather Storch, Wreck, Rockwilder, Havoc, Meech, Kanye West or Alchemist any time of the day.
"Symphony in X major" was tight though, and that's why I wonder if he really did that one. Maybe Dre had a little co-starring role there.

naw man not even close.......

DONT EVER COMPARE HIM TO THAT TRASH IRV GOTTI....AND ITS THESE "CLUB" TRACKS WHICH R BECOMING HITS ..... FABULOUS - CANT DENY IT.,....THATS HOW HE BECAME HUGE
ROCK IS THE HOTTEST PRODUCER AND MOST ACTIVE IF U LOOK AT HIM RIGHT NOW.....HE IS WORKING WITH MAC MALL, HE JUST WORKED WITH FABULOUS FOR HIS NEW ALBUM "STREET DREAMS" AND JUST DID THE E-40 SHIT..............AND ALCHEMIST IS CREATIVE, BUT EXTREMELY OVERRATED BECAUSE HE MADE "WE GONNA MAKE IT"

David Blake aka DJ Quik is the best West Coast Producer out there, just listen to "Streetz is Callin" off of Da Finale or Shade Sheist's song "John Doe" the man is a musical genius...end of story

End of what story ?
Are u able to read the title of the topic ?
"RICK ROCK IS THE HOTTEST WEST COAST PRODUCER AT THE MOEėMENT"
I havent said "rick rock is the best west coast producer", i've just said "rick rock is the hottest (in other words the most wanted ) cuz he's everywhere since "Dinasty roc la familia" album.
Dj quik could be better but this topic is about Rick Rock
Its such a big problem for you to understand it ? ::)

Take a listen to the new busta rhymes album, "12. I Know What You Want (featuring Mariah Carey & The Flipmode Squad)" produced by Rick rock is off the fuckin hook to me.
"Make it clap" and "The Struggle Will Be Lost " are the other 2 rick rock cuts on the album.
-
Oh wow !!! :o look everybody I can't read...anyway yeah I read the name of the topic and I was just saying that the statement you made ain't 100% true...Rick Rock is aight, Make It Clap ain't all that tight to me...Fred Wreck is better than Rick Rock to me, but everybody's entitled to their own opinion. You should've named the topic "I think Rick Rock is the hottest west coast producer at the moment" because that shit ain't even true there's at least three other producers at the moment that are better than Rick Rock, but that's just my opinion and when you say "at the moment" doesn't apply to Quik, I guarantee you he's making tracks for himself or other people right now, it's his job he's not at home walking around in his draws eating a cheese sandwich he's doing something that involves music because like he said he can't live without music...
