wtf is this :-\
-
damn bishop is goin backwards lately for real...he hasnt been the same since pope mobile
-
ok negative post coming:
i dunno what happened to bishop, but he's been going downhill for a while. really dissapointing cause imo he showed potential to be a credible hip-hop artist during his stint at aftermath, especially on the early material. of course, hip-hop and aftermath don't always go hand in hand and it seems like he evolved into some sort of 50 cent clone to fit into the mold there. still better than 50 cent, but his direction on a lot of recent leaks is confusing to say the least.
hypothetically, if he released a watered down version of the reformation (without all the dre tracks) in the future, would many people buy it? internet only release?
i know it's supposedly coming, but until it actually drops, i'd consider a release to be the same likelyhood as a crooked i album dropping.

matty best believe if he released a album with some dretox on it...it sell it dont matter
people are sick of this wayne, rick ross, tpain, wack muzik

big IF.
highly unlikely he would be able to include any or much of material that he recorded with dre while at the math. that aint to say that the shit he did with other producers could not make an extremely dope album, but the question of a budget pops up - which tracks could be used, what would label situation be. that's why i remain dubious as to any release. but it would certainly need to come out sooner rather than later, last time i checked the music industry was still contracting.

Yeah, I too haven't been listening to recent Bishop Lamont material all that much. I bump I'm ill & My Momma. Team America is not my flavor - not that I've given it a real chance for my ears to adjust to because of the horrible mixing & dj drops.
This isn't out of Bishop's character. He's always had tracks about women, pussy, & money. I just don't really like most of them.
Edit:
Also, I thought this sounded like a reference track for another artist or him practising different flows. The flow is reminiscence of lil wayne alien martian style.

this sounds like something from an early demo tape. i like tha beat tho

Listen carefully it samples
the next episode from dre chronic 2001.
-
actually Dre used a sample for that song

actually Dre used a sample for that song
Naw man. It's taken from an old soul record, but everything is replayed. Even the intro part. Almost to perfection. Dre works with super talented musicians and studio engineers, that can easily recreate the sound and texture of your favourite samples. That's why all the bedroom producers and fruityloopers will never touch the production of Dr. Dre.
-
Damn, whats happened Bishop
-
Ever since the Grow Up fiasco Bishop is completely lost as an artist.

I didn't listen to this track, but I'm not anticipatiing Bishop's debut anymore. It's taking too long.
