Word. Paid the Cost is actually a pretty dope album, but "Pimp Slapp'd" was garbage in 2002 and it still is now.

Slap back has a weak beat, and a weak flow. He has some good disses on there, but the song has really poor re-play value to me. Its like I just listened to it to hear what he has to say, but its not like its a banger that I want to listen to over again.

Pimp Slapp'd is by no means a banger either.. But the beat is kinda funky to me, and Snoop rides the beat pretty well. Especially when he starts off w/ the DJ QUIK tonight flow.

Its not a fair battle comparison, because while the whole slap back song is a diss against Snoop Dogg, Pimp Slapp'd was a Suge Knight diss, with like 1 line dedicated to Crooked.

Snoop is more about personality and his voice and catchy choruses

The tank top and protein shake lines are hilarious and the joke about how all Snoop's verses are the same is true, that's why it works

The only line which is adressed at Crooked is where Snoop says all of Suge's Death Row rappers are just crumbs on his table which was a pretty dope line. So, if "Slap Back" was a Suge Knight song, the comparison has sense but not like this imo.

Btw: I have to say "Pimp Slapp'd" is a great track to me and I still think "Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Bo$$" is Snoop's best record since Doggystyle.

"Slap Back" was tight, but come on y'all it wasn't CRAZY like it was supposed to be. Too many people were hyping too much it before it leaked. Both tracks are good though IMO.
