I will get the link to the article later, but it's basically saying Nas has been paying Kelis $50,000 a month to Kelis in child support/alimony.
I don't care how rich Nas is, at that rate he's going to go broke. Nas has always been a great rapper, yet he's never been able to cross promote with business ventures in the way that many other rappers like Jay-Z or even Snoop with his movies/tv shows clothing lines. So we have to assume Nas is probably in the 7 figure range. With digital downloading and Nas being at the twilight of his career, this Nas/Marley project may be his last big payday.
I don't know how he will be able to sustain such a large and unfair payment to Kelis. She is ripping him off, it's not his responsibility to keep her flooded with diamonds the rest of her life just because they had a relationship for a couple of years.

No, if you notice I replied in that thread from 3 months ago. I'm reporting now that Nas has officially been paying her a reported 50,000 dollars a month, when before it was just that he may be ordered to pay her that amount.

I don't care if it was Nas that cheated. This is just another case of the government excess. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? I mean, if Nas has talked about fuckin all types of bitches in over half his songs ("though we love to rap about nasty chickens") then isn't Kelis somewhat responsible for who she chose to marry?
If you choose to marry someone with a known history of infidelity, then why does the government decide that you are suddenly owed something when it doesn't work out and there is infidelity in the relationship?
This is a much larger issue, it goes into the War on Drugs, Health Care, Education, Legal System, the government is intruding in nearly every aspect of people's lives, the government wants to be our mommy's and daddy's; and there is no personal responsibility anymore. Ron Paul is the only politician left in Washington that's truly for getting rid of government excess and putting responsibility back in the hands of the people.
