-
maaaaaaaan fuck these covers (but the albums are straight classics 8)
agreed...and i need a new copy of ghetto d.......but im sure as fuckin hell not gettin this one :D
-
"Snoop Dogg approved" THAT is ironic!
-
hahaha i love this! "snoop dogg approved"
i specially like the approved version of master p - master p approved snoop dogg back in 98, and resurrected the nigga career.. the irony. ;D
seriously tho, these releases are obviously aimed at a younger audience - hence the "snoop dogg-approved"-sticker.
not every 17-year old knows about Epmd and eazy, so they're basicaly tryin to collect allowance-money from teenagers wit these re-issues by attracting them wit the "snopdogg"-name (not that the teenagers are his biggest fans anyway ::)
-
wow that`s pathetic. you can think you have a snoop album in hands when checking cd's in the record store. for me a reason to skip
-
"tell me where the fuck you find an anorexic rapper"
-
Wow this bitch has his logo damn near bigger than the original covers. Fuck Snoop. I bet no one is approving More Malice.
-

snoop dogg's name should never be in the same sentence with tha hip hop thugsta eazy "muthapucckin" e....it's an insult to the westcoast...in reality snoop's only 2 worthwhile albums for the westcoast are his first 2...the rest should be uncivilized.... :D
-

i hope Snoop goes to hell for this.
-
That's taking the piss, Snoop whoring himself for Priority with no shame.
:monkey_piss:
-
LMAO that's some selfish shit! I don't believe that these will sell above 100 units, because real rap fans already have them or they weren't interested anyway. But with these cover, NOBODY will buy such a cd except Snoop himself. When I buy a Master P record, I don't want Snoop's name on it even bigger than P's what the hell... ???
-
Saw that this was being released a while back. It seems like Priority has a hard-on for re-releasing albums and putting out pointless compilations (particularly when it comes to Eazy-E). While "Eazy-Duz-It" is without a doubt a classic, I see no reason to purchase this album yet again. I've already bought it twice (both the original, and the re-release with "51/50" that they put out a few years back).
Also, I understand that Snoop Dogg is the new head of Priority Records, but maybe they could have just put a sticker on the front of these albums that says "Snoop Dogg Approved." That way it could be taken off with the celephane when you unwrap the cd , instead of perminantly defacing the cover art to these classics.
-
Damn these covers look awful.
-
"Snoop Dogg Approves - Real Compton City Gz" God I'd just love 2 see that. lol 10 bucks say if it came up he would, release it censored, backmasked, and replace Snoop Diss lines with a beat. lol
Seriously Fuck Snoop Dogg on this approve shit lol its so fuckin retarded. I Guess Eazy E's bitch must be 2 busy catering 2 Little Es broken carrier 2 actually notice this fuck up. lol

Exactly, that big ass ego name droppin of him on those covers are ruining those classics. It is not an extra motivation to cop the albums, it's rather a turn off. A liitle sticker with ' 25 years of priority' was enough imo

100% agreed. its a smart move will help sell more copys for classic albums.
what other cd's is he 'approving'?
-
screw priority records

Ghetto D was reissued in 2007

Defacing? More like defecating.. If you ask me. Snoop never cared for Eazy-E back in the days, So why the changed of heart now? On the previous compilation he started the album with an Eazy-E track that should have been enough, to appease his fans. Priority is becoming the new DR...Bullshit re-releases after another..
-
yeah, Snoop is getting played
-
yeah, Snoop is getting played
like your mama on the craigslists sex ad section
-
hahah, just imagine Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith walkin in to a record-store, findin their EPMD-record wit the Snoop-approved logo - like "what the fuck"?
snoop approving one of the biggest records in New York-hiphop history.. i guess it's ok for ppl to listen to it now, huh? LOL
nah, but like said earlier - this is just a marketing-tool.
o.g.-hiphopheads are obviously reacting to this in a sarcastic way, but this isn't a taboo-matter if u come to think of it.. Priority are just aimin for the kids born in the late 80's, by using the snoop-name..
-
the master P thing is hilarious...who the fucks gonna buy that garbage anyway
-
95percent of Master P's music is garbage - but "Ghetto d" is a dirty-classic, and one of the finest No Limit-releases. classic..
-

yeah this is a fucking joke. SNoop this is one of the dumbest things ever done

I hear you, man. I'm totally apposed to Snoop's name even appearing on an Eazy-E album. I'm just saying that if Priority Records insists on trying to use Snoop's name as marketing tool to try to promote their re-releases, putting it on a sticker that would come off when you unwrap the cd would at least be preferable to having it actually printed on the album's cover, as it appears to be. There's no getting rid of it if it's actually printed on the cover like that.

BTW, anybody else notice that Ruthless Records re-released "It's On Dr. Dre (187um) Killa," "Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin' Compton," and "Impact of a Legend" as a 4 disc set? As far as pointless re-releases go, I have to say I prefer that one. Although, I would much rather that Ruthless Records put out some more of their unreleased music rather than take a page out of Priority Records' book and keep putting out re-release after re-release.

Lol. Yeah. It's listed under Eazy-E Tri-Pack on Amazon.com. It's not even real noticeable on their site. And they don't have any pics of it, but if you search for it under that name with google you can find a picture of the front cover. Also, they apparently released one for Bone Thugs which I believe contains "E.1999 Eternal," "Greatest Hits," and "T.H.U.G.S.." Personally, I would have preferred "Creepin' On Ah Come Up," put in there, but whatever. I doubt I'll buy it anyway. Might pick up the Eazy-E one if I see it though, just to have.

snoop dogg approved? wtf

everybody needs to shut up about snoop. snoop ia know president of priority records & is trying to resurrect priority rcords . that snoop dogg approve is complement not a diss like you guys are acting . EPMD would take it as complement from one of the greatest west coast rappers ever .. so you guys are hating when snoop dogg is trying to do a good thing for hip hop .snoop dogg is trying to wake up a whole new genration to great artists from priority records past & present.snoop dogg is president priority records so he is the one who put his name on them not anybody else. so stop hating people because there is no reason to.
-
::)
lol, wtf are u sayin? do u even kno what EPMD is? rest assure, EPMD willl prob laugh their asses off wit this shit, not take it as a compliment..
weirdo
i guesss if Run-DMC got the "approve"-stamp from Snoop, they should feel honored too?
ur crazy as a muddafucca ;D
nobody is hatin on snoop, most of us understand the marketing-tool basics of this "approved by/presented by"-thing - but it sure as hell is laughable at the same time!

do i know EPMD? you gona make me fall over laughing at you . i been listening & living hip hop since 1982 unlike you. i own every EPMD ,including the one they released on Dec of 08. i am one of biggest EPMD fans there is . i was hit squad fan.yes RUN DMC would feel honored just like when Eminem put them in rock n roll hall of fame. so save the crap you are saying because i form the original school unlike you.

no you are the fucking clown. for one snoop dogg was born October 20, 1971. so snoop dogg would be 17 yeard old when EPMDs album came out ,jackass . so shut because you have no idea what you are talking about new school . snoop dogg was listening to hip hop before you were born . snoop dogg is from the old school just like me. i was listening to hip hop before you were born .so know your facts new school because you have no clue or idea what you are talking about. so shut your mouth when real grown folks are talking .
-
I dont know why this gets so much hate. Young people know who Snoop is but they don't know EPMD.. so they see the cover & think that since snoop's co-signing this it could b good. And EPMD is forgotten legendary group so they'll just get more listeners with this. Not many but it's something...
But I agree that the snoop dogg-part in the cover is way too big
-
You need to stop fuckign with midwestryder, He knows more about hiphop then all of us combined!
He's older and therefor much better then all of us!
He's been listening to hip-hop ever since he was 3!!!
And Joe Pesci I know you know allot about 2pac but this guy knows more, he's seen him live!
