He didn't fell off. But Balance & Options was indeed a great record. DJ Quik makes the best music when he's down and fucked up.

quik never fell off. i think i may prefer UTI to Trauma but B&O i find a bit harder to rate. imo the back end of the album is easily better than the front - 'Well', 'Do I Love Her', 'The Divorce Song'....

blaqkout was a bit of a mixed bag in places, but the best stuff on there was/is better than anything from the west in recent times. i mean the best records on there were just insane production.

I've always thought that too about the start of the album. In fact I'm gonna smoke a bowl and listen to it right now.

Yeah they are some of the best songs on that album. But at the end with "well" "The divorce song" (Fuckin BANGIN BEAT!!!) and the outro beat it ends strongly aswell, but there is a few weak tracks near the middle

I agree.ANd I also think the album continues to be ill throughout the whole runtime and remains one of my favourite Quik albums. And he did not fall off, Trauma to was a BIG step ahead of UTI, and I can't stop bumping the beats to Fuck Y'all and Oh!

Actually NUMBER 5 is one of my favorite Quik tracks, his flow on that one is the best he has ever had... Julio G is with me on this one.  8)
2-3 are nothing special, the question is still the same... who the fuck is Skaboobie?

Quik fell off, I'm a huge fan but nowdays he ain't what he used to be, BlaQKout let me down... I used to listen to it every day, but after a month I had enuff.

if blaqout came out in the 90's it would have been an all time cali classic, now I get disappointed just looking at the cover of the blaqout cd
