SANTA CRUZ (CBS 5 / AP) ―
Officials at the University of California, Santa Cruz say they found the image of a noose scribbled on the inside of a bathroom door.
The graffiti was discovered Monday in the school's Earth and Marine Sciences building. School spokesman Jim Burns says the words "San Diego" and "lynch" were written on either side of it.
The graffiti follows a string of racially charged incidents at the University of California, San Diego. A noose was found dangling from a light fixture of a campus library last Thursday.
That incident followed an off-campus party mocking Black History Month on Feb. 15.
UC Santa Cruz Chancellor George Blumenthal said the graffiti clearly made reference to the noose found at UC San Diego.
He called the incident "deeply disturbing."

Or is this 'UC' (an american term i got no idea what it means) a predominantly white school?

Of course it won't. Why people are trying to act like it will is beyond me. Racism is kind alike religion: no matter what you do or say, you won't change anyone's opinion. Just like people believe in a diety, people will hold true to their racist beliefs.
Besides, everyone is a little racist. Anyone who disagrees is a damn liar.

It's animal nature to be wary of others who look different. It's a self preserving instinct that transcended in to modern humans, being distrusting of other humans who have different skin colors etc...Thats my theory anyway.

The funny thing is they cut the trees down to build more classrooms and shit, but the kids were from out of state. so theyre doing their part in expanding the school, but crying when they build more rooms

Well I remember at my old university there was shit like 'Asians go home', 'Keep Australia white', 'kill all lebs', 'Starve more Afircans', etc. There is all types of fucked up shit scribbled on toilet bathrooms. Racist, sexist, and obscene. My point is: its toilet wall graffiti. Thats right, toilet wall graffiti. Its ridiculous to make such a big deal over it. Should be an issue that never left campus, let alone national media outlets running with the story and sensationalizing it.

Black people may be over sensitive, but considering the fact that current black Americans were brought up here by force and completely lost their culture is a pretty huge deal. I'll give them a pass on plenty of racial tension issues throughout the United States. It's an unique background.
