Why do people even watch that shit? It's 3 hours of boring bullshit.
I'd rather watch the Owl Cam. At least awesome stuff happens there.

I watched it and enjoyed it while having a six pack mainly to see James Cameron not win any important award. It was great. And then his ex-wife's film is the one that got all the major awards lmao

You should watch some blooper reels. Actors even have a tough time memorizing lines.

its an honor because it = more $$$$$$$$$$$ for their future projects. other than that? not much to it.

Actors do not remember lines, they read the script, and have it on hand. They only need to remember stuff for Auditions, and even then a script is constantly present. Actors will memorize it, but in the end they don't need to. Case and Point Marland Brando. He was the most unprofessional actor in the industry, but his performances are legendary. In the end I'm not amazed they teleprompter it. Face it, the event organizers do not want a huge fuck up. This is why politicians use them to.
Only Actors who need to remember everything, is the Stage actors, and in the end they get small breaks between scenes to reread the scene, and if they fuck up on stage they have someone to tell them the line. Though like I said, its a requirement of there job to remember everything, because there job is always live, and there is no Teleprompter. I wouldn't be amazed if someone started using them, or putting ear pieces on them to help them.

man you realize how stupid that sounds right? have you ever seen a movie where an actor is reading off a script? they might remember it dy by day for the scenes theyre shooting but they have to remember it
-
It really depends on the type of film you're doing, the type of lines you have, and there are just so many different factors that can be involved in the film. Some actors have long ass monologues that of course you have to remember. Or long ass scenes as well. Other time, you really have the freedom to work around the script but this is less likely and mostly found in comedy type movies. I'd still say most actors have to memorize a lot. The hardest part is actually acting and becoming a character, which is art and one of the best thing about films or tv.

You also have to remember, sometimes Actors will Adlib lines in films. Depends on the Actor, hell Brando had been using Cue cards for some films, so in the end Not all of them remember there lines or even need to.
