I can't wait for this. HBO is bringing it this year. The Pacific is going to premier next week. The Boardwalk Empire premiers in the fall of this year created by Terrence Winter of Sopranos fame with the Scorsese directed Pilot!
Potentially 3 "A" caliber type of shows

The series takes place three months after Hurricane Katrina where the residents of New Orleans, including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians and ordinary New Orleanian try to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane.

Full series. If ratings are good enough and David Simon feels that he can still tell more stories, he'll continue.

I will definitely watch this show. I was hoping they would make a documentary on Katrina. I am surprised it took so long.
