Title: Actor Corey Haim dead at 38
Post by: Sofa_King_Awesome on March 11, 2010, 12:28:59 AM: Corey Haim, an actor whose status as a teenage heartthrob of the 1980s gave way to substance abuse and rehabilitation as an adult, died on Wednesday at a hospital in Burbank, Calif. As someone who grew up in that decade, I can honestly say I remember quite a few of his movies. "The Lost Boys" and "Silver Bullet" were a couple of my favorites. Unfortunately it seems he was another actor who became a casualty of his own success. He had struggled with drugs for years, which had all but killed his career by the early 1990s. I can't say I was surprised to hear that this happened, but it's unfortunate none-the-less.
