Is this brand new from Free? Meaning he's back with Quik officially???
After reading the responses I was sure you niggas were overhyping like you always do with the vets, but I must admit...this shit is sick! Love the switch up at the end!
Daaamn does Suga Free sound good on a funky Quik track!
Wow, this track is amazing!! :o
I wonder from where y'all got the info that is is from a Quik solo album. I thought this would be for the collabo project "Reconnected"?

where did anyone say that?
sounds to me like 'The Book of David' album is more likely to be a Quik/Free collab LP.

That would be very stupid with a title like that, I love the fact they're back togheter, but I rather listen to a solo Quik project, it's been 5 years since Trauma.
Anyone else think this isnt the finished article yet?

If by article you mean song then yes I agree with you. Suga Free's verse is like 17 or 18 bars which is unorthodox. Around 1:16 the chorus should drop in but it cuts into a couple more bars real quick. Sounds to me like somebody edited another verse out, but didn't do it properly so we are hearing the tail end of the verse they were trying to delete. Anybody else agree with me on this? I would almost be willing to be money that this is the case, especially since the song is so short, even with that outro.
i hate suga free's style, but i love this beat. good job quik, but quite fucking with this so called "pimp"

Thanks for the english lesson! ;) i've really improved my english since i come here. and i'm not being sarcastic 8) you can prop me for that!
This is a solid track, however there's something missing. A musician as high of a caliber as Quik, I was expecting something with more instrumentation on it.
Personally, I was feeling Free's "Im Livin For You" way more than this. Same goes for Quiks "Blaqkout" & "The Appeal". I'm hopin I can get the feeling for this after a few listens.
Definitively better than most tracks out there.
Now I can't wait for "Book Of David".

Yep. That's exactly what I'm talking about. I know they can incorporate that fucking amazing melody to their songs. I appreciate the
collaborating though, and at least put something out...that nonsense music out there is tiring!

Yeah man I hear what you're saying. "Livin for you" is classic, kind of like "Inside out". More serious songs over more instrumental beats. More "serious" songs.
i hope to god that dj quik and suga free do a collab album together.that abe the best shit in hip hop history as far as albums go.imo a dj quik and suga free album is way better then a quik and amg album and a quik and kurupt album.
hey playa is one of the dopest songs to come outta the west in the last decade IMO
and it was miles better than the whole album and it will be better than kurupts, dj quik's, suga free's, etc...albums
that song is damn near a instant classic
Lmao..
Is there an increase in critique course attendance at International colleges or what!?
>> This shit is bomb. That's all I feel the need to say about it..
and oh yeah: "I don't drink alchohol but when I do drink I prefer Dos Eques." 8)
i´m a huge quik fan, but i think the beat isnt THAT great, its a cool beat but nothing amazing imo
like the synths which come in at 1:00 dont fit really with the rest of the beat
i'm waiting patiently for when quik tops the classic production on blaqkout like 'hey playa' 'fuck y'all' 'cream n ya panties' and 'the appeal'. we are gonna be in for a TREAT 8)
this song alone >>>>>>>>> blaqkout album....
this song alone >>>>>>>>> blaqkout album....
i need to hear this record. people have very different opinions on it. time to make my own!
