Even his production is not as good as it used to be he was pretty good he's made good stuff for years Big Bang Theory Thats it How Long Will They Mourn Me so what is it didn't he fall off or is trying to go in another direction.

Yep.. I Want It All was his last album I thought was solid. After that album he split ways with his long time engineer Greg Geitzenauer who also mixed almost all of his songs including productions for Dove Shack, Twinz, etc..

on regards to the g-files album.....
"100 miles n runnin" was a very dope track, and "lets get high" was pretty tight, although i wouldve preferred black nic not to be on the track. he's wack. wouldve been much better with e-white on there. also "we came here to ride" a.k.a. "suicide" feat. rbx was dope, but that song was released on the "true crimes" soundtrack back in 2003.
everything else on the album was wack.
we can only hope that warren will have listened to what the fans are saying this time, so that his his next will go back to his original style of making straight westcoast bangin gfunk. if he chooses not to do this, then he will lose his fans completely.

damn rotr is such a dope album for the most part
but he brought the best outta cpo, wc, kokane, mista grimm....mista grimm came thru with bangers...his flow is crazy

tbh i cant picture warren's style on some party record. like if he woulda jumped on the hyphy movement years back he would've sounded all out of place.
-
How many of these topics you have made about Warren's newest album? We all know it was garbage :D
-
well he jumped on the what was hot at the time movement...ray j...really? lol
okka you a fool

you said exactly what i was thinking
people wanna hear from Warren what hes known for - Westcoast soundin G Funk.
thats why i became a fan cause he had a sound unlike no other. but his last 2 albums sound like garbage which is a shame cause he used to be one of my fav producers
-
After Dark= one of g-dubb's best productions ever....damn that is some crazy muzik
-
i think Snoop and Warren G falling off , they aint making westcoast music anymore , there doing Pronto with soulja boy , and warren g doing ringtone songs
its too cheesy now
-
I actually like g-files. i only thought there were two WHACK songs. Its a pretty good album. But i would prefer alot less R&B on his next effort, same with Snoop.
-
it was weak but not absolute trash
it grew a bit on me but still a weak album
-

Damn i dont know i was listening to Take A Look Over Your Shoulder and i was like damn Warren really had bars smoking me out with ron isley Transformers back up etc. and then i remembered you guessed it wait for it................................G-Files= :nahnah: :loopaper:
-
i only like his first album and the return of the regulator. some good songs here and there . in small doses
-
I agree, Warren always was pretty consistent with his album up until G-Files. It's really ironic that he named it G-Files and it was his worst production to date.
I also think he tries to hard to put out new talent from the West, sure it's good to help new artist but on every album he seems to have a new protege (Twinz, Mr Malik, Phatts Bossi, Mista Grimm) when none have done nothing after Warren's albums have dropped.
He needs to stop trying to help others and help himself first ;D

1) G Funk Era

3) Take a Look Over Your Shoulder
4) In The Midnight Hour
5) Return of The Regulator
6) G Files
I think most peoples list will look like this, with the movement of Midnight Hour/ROTR being different depending on peoples preferrance

^^ You wildin, ROTR is far superior to ITMH.
ROTR >>>>>> ITMH >> G Files.. steady decline in other words.
-

G Files was complete trash with artist that cannot rap.
Warren G went from working with everyone from Snoop, Jermaine Dupri, Knoc-Turnal.... to now adding himself UNNOFFICIALLY to Lloyd Banks and Drake tracks.... yes...he FELL OFF!
-

I know Warren has bills to pay and of course he would love to have another hit, but in these days alot of music don't sell. Warren should just stick with makin' shit like "Return Of The Regulator", it's that dope West Coast shit with a touch of G-Funk in it. Warren G is a legend and his only really weak album is "G-Files". "In The Midnight Hour" got alot of hate, from me too when it first came out but it grew on me, actually there's alot of good songs on that album.

even if he wants to make a hit, he should do something fresh, in stead of copying what the next man is doing
-
It's obvious that warren can do much better. But still, much love to him cause he brought us nate dogg and snoop, some tight solo albums, the twins dove shack.... and did his thing on his own while death row wasn't paying attention to him.
Warren should focus on him instead of other wack artists like somebody suggested. But i think he still has it, just taking a weird direction.

Yeah Warren needs to worry about number one fuck everybody else snoop is the only one that has helped him out but where the fuck is Dre i know he's his stepbrother but shit musically he's only hooked him up with Lookin At You which was banging but shit he should giving at least one beat per album like hey bro thanks about snoop you where right and Nate has been pretty good so thanks let me hook you up.
