Today we return with a particularly special review. DUBCNN was lucky enough to be granted an early listen to the highly anticipated new Cypress Hill album, Rise Up. As a result, we bring you this exclusive first review of the Hill's latest.
Rise Up boasts an eclectic guest list and diverse range of contributing producers, including Jim Jonsin, DJ Khalil, and, of course, DJ Muggs. in this review, we weigh in on whether or not Cypress' revised sound results in an essential purchase.
Rise Up receives the Dub Quotable: "This set offers a rallying, unapologetic Cypress Hill, indulging in familiar subject matter while simultaneously continuing to challenge their existing sound." Hit the link below to check out the full review, and to discover what Dub rating the veteran group were awarded.

Wasnt sure what to think in the lead up to Rise Up but this review has made me anticipate it a bit more. Thanks

Appreciate you checking it out. There's definitely a maturation in their sound on some tracks. Some listeners might have to live with it for a while, though, as a handful of songs are, like the last couple Hill albums, rock-oriented. I don't mind 'em on that tip, though - as is reflected in the review and rating, I guess!
