The long awaited song "I Get Doe" by Glasses Malone is finally here! After his previous efforts with songs like "Certified", "Haterz", and "Sun Come Up", Malone releases another single off his upcoming album "Beach Cruiser". The song features The Cataracs, who also produced the track. The crossover appeal is definitely there, so let's see what this song can do for Glasses and the West Coast. The accompanying video has been filmed yesterday at an all day, high budget shoot in downtown Los Angeles. Look for some behind the scenes footage to drop on Dubcnn in the next few of days.

Not bad, but I don't think it will be that big hit. Easily better than his last single with Birdman, Rick Ross & T-Pain though.

Wow, this is really nice. I mean his previous 3 singles weren't so bad either but they sounded too much like your typical South single and they weren't distinctive as this one is for a Westcoast artist.

did you read glasses interview ? he said until he comes out with a hit record cash money wont push the record, now if you niggaz took the time to sit back and think about what a hit record these days sound like you would understand why he's taking this route ? yes it sound like some poppy bullshit but 95% of hit records is some poppy bullshit.. you know what i find funny about niggaz like you you support snoop who has been doing poppy singles for years and nobody has a problem with it but when somebody like glass does it its a problem.

i read the interview before. i still preferred some of his other singles, even from a mainstream, pop appeal perspective. a hit record can be a lot of things, but doesn't seem like this a good thread to give genuine, honest feedback. people seem a bit touchy, ready to call anyone a 'hater' :P

Glasses said it himself; if his singles dont do numbers and top charts he won't be debuting on Cash Money due to the high bar set by everyone else on the label. Since 2004 We are waiting to buy a album from "new west" or new generation of westcoast artist, and NOBODY has dropped one, while all the vets have drop at least one album...pathetic...and I'm absolutely not hating but just saying...
Anyway I'm still support the new generation, but keep ya head up!

Well, the notion that this kind of material constitutes "#1" material is making my head hurt. People's IQ's have seriously plummeted and continue to do so. Even more sadly, place this song next to some of the more popular music in circulation and it sounds intellectual in comparison. This entire conglomerate has and will continue to be about one primary thing: MONEY. The other is programming people. Listen to the content (or lack of) in todays music compared to the 90's and below; it's horrific. Kids are the target, yes. They are what's called "future consumers." Music has become an outlet for consumerism. Look at the videos. Listen to what these people are saying. Its all empty rhetoric about material and superficial worth. Nothing intrinsic whatsoever. Glasses is just another steak in the meat grinder. Trying to do whatever it takes to get a buck and completely oblivious to the system set in place. Everyone happy? I wouldn't rush to any such conclusions. This is the tip of the iceberg that represents an entire glacier of industry whoring.

to be honest for a song to be a hit we got to see what the "mainstream" fans feel about it, i mean fat joe made his whole last album in the vain of every song that has been a hit on the radio the last past few years and that shit did nothing, it's wacc but those fans have to take to it for it to be a legit "mainstream hit",i hope the equal get that with this and his album when he drops it, but that ain't the determining factor on me liking his music and it shouldn't be for equals on here either,if you like it like it fucc what others say yell
