Title: New LBC Crew Tracks (Info Inside)
Post by: D Breezy on April 06, 2010, 12:43:54 AM
went to lbc show sat in long beach, lbc performed some old classics like "out the moon" with style and pac both droppin their verses, "who got some gangsta shit", and of coarse "beware of my crew". wit that they also performed 3 new jams

turnt up - a real laid back summer song produced by chill of cmw and featuring bo roc on the hook!!
already on tha scene - a hard edge lbc crew song, got like a nwa vibe to it. think bad azz has 2 verses and style got 1
why buy the cow (if the milks for free) - way better than the title lol modern day gfunk beat with dope lyrics by tech, style, and bad

would upload videos but the sound at rhythm lounge was fukin horrible, they had sound problems all night. that and the videos kinda shaky. anyway they got some dope musik lined up and a video comin out for already on the scene comin out

Bad Azz didn't even know about the collabo album comin' out, it was ME who told him about in on twitter. Well, i asked him somethin' about the album on twitter and he was first like what are you talkin' about, he was amazed that the record even came out. He was askin' me to hook it up on twitter :D ;D

Well a lot of times in the last years, artists "sell" an album to a certain producer. That's for example how the deals with J.Silva/Hi Power were done with the Kurupt/Roscoe album or the Daz "gangsta party" album.

The label pays the artists a certain amount of money up front for the album, they provide the beats, the artist delivers the verses and is pretty much done after that and the label promotes the record to recoup their money. Depending on the deal, the artists might or might not get any money from the sales after the release, which can partly explain why they don't even know about its release date.

These deals can be done in any kind of way though, not sure how it was for the Bad azz / bizzy album but I believe Frank Nitty hooked that up with Mr Capone-E's camp.

That's why you heard so many latino features on some recent releases like that Suga Free album.

Those deals are worse than those 360 deals...lol

The Kurupt/Roscoe album was a littlebit different, Kurupt promoted that cd in many interviews.
Or I not remember good?

For the dude who asked about Kurupt/Roscoe album getting promoted by the artists - thats why i said these deals can be done in any kind of way, sometimes the artist is bought out and if doesnt want to promote it he doesnt have to since hes not getting more out of it (sort of if you sell a feature verse for a price up front and pass on the royalties).

But with the Kurupt/Roscoe album they spent some marketing dollars and had the artists involved.
