seein ice cube these days made me think about if him and pac were ever that cool because it seems like when pac was on top, you didnt really see them together much. as big as they were both on the westcoast, you'd think they would have collaborated more. first i was gonna say they never did a track together but i remember cube bein 5 deadly venomz back in the day with ice-t too
-
i remember hearing ice cube on the intro of an unreleased version of hit em up, so i guess he was pretty much riding for him.
i think they had it up on hitemup.com like 10 yrs ago
-
u new the westcoast music? cube was on pac's Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. album
-
I think right before Pac died, he thought Cube was trying to get some buzz for himself with Bow Down. He said in a interview that Cube only made that song after hearing Hitemup and was jumping into that whole east vs west for the money. Although I do believe both had some legit gripes at the time and were basically saying the same thing. Pac was more personal with his attacks and Cube more political as far as dissing radio, critics, etc.
-
I think toward the end, Pac wasn't much of a fan. I recall an interview where he was pretty critical of WSC saying, "That shit sounds like somebody just listened to Hit Em Up. Why weren't they making them Bow Down before I did?" or something to that extent.

Yeah we are talking about the same interview. I believe it was called Thug Immortal or something like that. Trying to find it right now.
-
Yeah, I was writing my response at the same time as you. It was featured on the Thug Immortal DVD but I'm pretty sure it was an outtake from a Vibe interview.

Mines came with a audio interview as well, advertised as the "last" interview Pac did. It was lengthy but a good listen.
-
Probably the last interview conducted for a print magazine but don't think it was the last.
-
could one of you post it up if you find it please?

Man, Pac got nerve tryna suggest Cube was piggybackin his shit when he know damn well early on in his career his sound was similar to Cube's in his AMW/DC days.
And didn't Cube, WC, and Mack Dime put out West Up and Westside Slaughterhouse before Hit Em' up came out? Fuc was Pac smokin!
Hell, where in the fuc Pac think he got all that WEST SIDE talk from? Throwin up the dub on his album cover and shit...that nigga was lame in the game with that one
