passion is the only thing he's lost over the years, that's why i think he's starting to make a comeback.

in every single one of these freestyles, you hear like a serious side, even when he says silly things; tryna gain that acceptance from every last person.

i think it was in the song "Soldier" on The Eminem Show, he had a line, "When the fire inside dies and expires at thirty", he wasn't kidding he lost that drive lol.

but now after Encore & most of the songs on Relapse, i think he knows people thought he was a joke & hopefully his next album he basically tries to gain that acceptance once again that he is in a class of his own.

not going to hold my breath on that though lol.

I don't know I think he's starting to get it back. With "Encore" and all some of the smaller projects after that, it was clear he'd kind of lost his focus. I wouldn't say the passion was gone. I'd say more like he wasn't motivated like he was before. I think by around the time, he'd finished the 8 Mile soundtrack and after his first year fucking with 50, he'd pretty much done everything he could in that time. He'd been working non-stop since getting on and it was clear that he knew, he had to take a break. He hinted at retirement and such.

he one of the illest ever bar none, just think when he first got in he really felt the need to prove himself cause of the stigma, but once he did it and learned it doesn't take all that to make a hit! he eased up and focused more on that, but it's still in him like doing that forever song i think he made it personal to himself to destroy all them equals on that record yell

Props for posting the songs.  I think some of his features in the past 6 months have been some of his best work in a long time.  His flow on Forever was  :o

yeah, i don't remember came first the BET Awards Cypher with Black Thought & Mos Def or Forever, but both were just on a more serious level than most of Relapse.

then he dropped Refill; all those songs were better than almost all the songs off Relapse; had a real dope verse on Wayne's "Drop The World".

just good vibes for him moving forward. 8)

i want to believe that, but they hyped Relapse like it was going to be something next level insanity & it was just overall average.

so i'm not raising my expectations no matter what anybody says about it lol.
