After several years of hiatus, the legendary King T will finally return with a new studio album in 2010. Having released the "Boss Up" mixtape and appeared on a selected few guest appearances, fans of the Compton rapper have been going through a drought over the past decade. But the King is back to claim his throne and he's set to release the album entitled "Tha Krown" this summer.
Dubcnn already brought you a little sneak peek at the new album a few weeks ago when we dropped the track "Pushin Tha Line" featuring Young Maylay. Today we have a song which has been around for a minute, but deserves the post as it's the title track of the new album, "Tha Krown". Tila teams up with some West Coast vets such as Dresta and MC Eiht over a beat produced by Amplified, and they speak their mind on a couple of hot topics on the West Coast right now. Give it up to these legends... King T is responsible for giving birth to some of your favorite rappers' careers!

king t is a seasoned westcoast veteran who is keeping true to the westcoast sound, while most of these "new west" rappers are jumping on the south's dick.

I can't wait for this album to drop. King Tee is a west-coast legend/pioneer. I hope he keeps the guest appearances to a minimal and production isn't a bunch of dudes.
To that poster above that says old rappers should hang it up. Music has no age limit and nobody should hate on another mans hustle. If the "new west" artists were as original as the "old west" were maybe people would start giving a shit about them. If all those O.G. West-Coast artists were to hang it up and called it quits. We wouldn't have any west-coast artists because any artist that claims "new west" hasn't dropped a single album in the stores.
If you don't like an artist or have interest in them you shouldn't even bother to comment none the less even enter the thread.

Are the particulars even known in Dresta's case? The thing about sex crimes in the American legal system is they are typically all lumped together. At least in many cases, people who have committed statutory "rape" are included on the same list as child molesters and people who have committed sexual assault. I'm not saying Dresta is innocent. I'm just saying I'm not going to judge him for that when I don't know any particulars about the case.

And the way our system is set up, those people are lumped in with hard core sex offenders like child molesters and actual rapists. I know a guy who's on a sex offender list for sleeping with a girl who was a couple years younger than him. Even though he's married to that same girl now, he's officially a "sex offender" because they started seeing each other when she was under 18. Now I don't know Dresta's particular situation, but I'm just saying the laws are real uneven when it comes to that sort of thing. So without knowing the particulars, I'm not going to judge.
