Dubcnn Exclusive Interview With Hayes - By : Mil - April 17, 2010
To earn the co-sign of one of music's top producers you must be doing something right, in this case newcomer Hayes did even more than that. Earning not only the backing of Dr Dre and Timbaland but also their production, Hayes still untitled debut album is one of the most anticipated hip-hop albums in years.
Dubcnn's Todd Davis caught up with Hayes for an introductory interview discussing how the joint venture with Aftermath/Mosley came about, his new street tape The First 48 and general insight into what everybody is wondering following his almost overnight emergence into the spotlight, who is Hayes?.
Exclusive Hayes Interview

thanks for the interview.
no disrespect to dubcnn, but the recent Hayes interviews look the same.
Hayes doesn't seem to have a problem with the same questions though.
Dubcnn: Damn, more secrets! Well, are there any other mixtapes or cameos on others works to look out for from you in the meantime?
No, me and Dre finishing the first single from my album. Be on the look-out for that in the next couple weeks.
Under Pressure, Eminem & this? no way.
i think Hayes will have to wait

I agree. Recent interviewees have given poor stereotypical responses. It's cool they get interviewed and take the time to do it but at the same time if you're just going to talk like you're reading a script it's pointless (from a fans perspective).
Another thing is he can't reveal much about detox, interscope, or aftermath or risk his position. I respect it, just makes a dull interview

Dude sounds like he has barely started work on his album yet he already got the first single coming out in 2 weeks ;D lol, if dudes speaking truth props to him but i find it HIGHLY unlikely he has that track already. What was funny is that he has not even got a title for the album yet. He has a wishlist of people he wants to work with but dre and timbo have their own vision too so i assume no major work has been put into hayes album yet.
Aftermath have big names coming out, eminem who is huge, game whos a superstar and if dre ever comes out...hayes buzz cannot even compare yet so for a dude who doesnt even know the album title yet...i think the interview was pretty much as expected. He probably had studio sessions with both cats especially if he touring with timbaland but not had a long stretch in the studio working solely on hayes album...i doubt they've reached that stage yet. Probably just banging out joints when they can at the moment. Dudes got incredible backing in terms of producers though if it ever comes to fruition. Thats still a huge question mark too with the music industry now and naturally anything gettig released off aftermath regardless of external situations.
