Apple lost an iPhone apparently. Not any iPhone, but a prototype of the not-yet-released OS 4.
The phone was apparently found in a bar in Redwood, Calif., and it made its way to the folks over at Gizmodo, who nicely decided to let us all in on the little secrets of what Apple has in store for us. They dissected it for a week. They couldn’t really play with it because Apple pulled the plug shortly after the phone was lost. However the person who originally found it said it had OS 4 on it, and that would have been before Apple announced OS 4.
And some of the rumors are true, there’s a front-facing video chat camera, a digital camera on the back along with a camera flash, a Micro-SIM card – like the one in the iPad. It does have a better display, a secondary mic for noise cancellation and a larger battery.
Not only are their upgrades, but there are some design change as well. This iPod is a bit heavier, slightly squarer and features a flat back. The screen is also smaller, but not by much and the folks at Gizmodo say the resolution is better. The battery is also larger in this phone.

I feel the same way. Never been into this whole Smartphone thing, but I got a feeling I'm gonna have to adapt the way this shit is becoming an important part of people's lives.

on the 4g thing, i gotta be a sceptic, i mean, theres 1 phone out there, if theres one, there would be a bunch , or else it wouldnt have gotten out on the street, it would be carried around in a suitcase with a pair of handcuffs to steve jobs, seriously.

3gS will work on verizon this summer, correct?

The current 3GS model will NEVER work with Verizon seeing as their network uses CDMA and not GSM like AT&T. There have been rumors of a CDMA iPhone coming out soon but it could be for China and not the USA.

there are three jailbreak methods that will be coming out in the near future. just wait until the ipad 3G is released later this month
BTW: You better save your SHSH files for 3.1.3 while you have the chance
