Every now and then (let's say twice a month) i come across some amazing Mobb Deep unreleased tracks.Call it what you want, but these guys were absolutely incredible during the mid to late 90s and not only because of the 2 classic albums they have, but because of all the top notch material they left off them. It's a shame because we may never get to hear those tracks in full in CDQ.And D.J. Mister Cee is sitting on them... (I'm sure most mob fans have the pre-infamous demo tapes/bootlegs - check mr. cee's best of mobb deep and you'll see he has the tracks from these bootlegs in PERFECT quality but has dropped only 1 minute snippets with 1 or 2 exceptions)
and now the song that inspired this post
http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/_acX9huNj9M
Not in good quality but you can hear the potential of the track - the beats, the rhymes, the woman singing... simply amazing

Mobb Deep is top 3 hip hop groups of all time...Hav was and he still is incredibel on the beats, P on the mic in that time was top 3 mc's in the game. 8) 8) 8) i still bumb most of mobb catalogues

yeah I'd like that, hop it''s better than mine (which is either from the Pre-Hell EP or from Infamous archives, can't remember)

Mobb Deep in its prime was the best hip-hop group hands down. All the classic shit they released on their LPs, soundtracks, compilations, unreleased stuff etc. Legends.

Been hunting for the full version of Patty Shop for years.
Anyone ???
+ The girl singing on Reach is Chinky who has recorded numerous tracks with Mobb Deep and other QB MC's.

I believe Mr. Cee's the only one who has it, probably Hav or P too (P has been asked about it in an interview but didn't mention having it)

Fuck no. Mobb Deep were only great for two albums. And P sucks as a rapper now. There are many groups who have had a much longer legacy. Wu Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, De la Soul, PE, Gangstarr to name a few.

Mobb Deep goes deeper than two albums mate. Sure, Hell On Earth and Infamous are the two main ones that people percieve as classics but looking through their entire catalogue the only really really weak group album I see is the one G-Unit put out.

top 3?????
havoc at his best i'm not sure if he's top 30

Mobb Deep to me are on the same level as The Pharcyde. Two classic or near classic albums and falling off after that.
-
Mobb deep was the definition grimey 90s new york hip hop
-
Im a big dpg fan and mobb deep is my eastcoast dpg in a way. with havs bad ass production and p's grimey lyrics.... cant go wrong. and mobb deep has 3 claasics in my opinion. the infamous, hell on earth and muder muzic. infamy was decent but thats when p started too fall off a bit with his beef with jigga and nas

mobb deep is absolutely the eastcoast dpg and vice versa,Havoc and daz were both once known as two of the best producers in the game and kurupt and prodigy were known as two of the best emcees. Then both kurupt and prodigy fell way the fuck off and daz and havocs productions because boring and uninspired. And all members release empty, run of the mill music that a few desperate fans cling to convinving themselves its actually good.

Infamous is one of my favorite hip hop album.
Classic

i agree with this statement to a point. havocs solo releases have been pretty awful but prodigy's return of the mac mixtape & HNIC2 were better than anything that the pound has released in the same time span. but yeah their new material doesn't hold a candle to their previous work but sometimes they can come up with some good music. i find the dogg pounds weakness is their shitty business model of releasing mad albums every year that have like 1-3 good songs and the rest filler. they need to take some time and come out with a cohesively good album

Ive firmly held my belief that if dpg members would take the 5 albums they release each year and combine all the best tracks from each they would have a mediocre album that could at leaast be listenable.
