When you're the son of a legendary rapper/producer and one of the forefathers of Rap music, who has been celebrated and respected in his field for more than 20 years, it's natural that you'd want to follow in his footsteps.
Curtis Young, son of super producer Dr. Dre, is ready to continue his father's legacy because it is not only a desire, it is his destiny.
"People can expect a new trendy look from me. I represent a new era of positive feel good music for the West Coast -- I am a new generation of Left Coast artists who can not only rap but produce as well. In the future, my company Young Entertainment Inc, will set high standards and create another element for the Hip-Hop world so get familiar!"
With the release of a handful local mixtapes, Young has generated a heavy buzz that has the streets anticipating the summer release of his debut album, "Product Of My DNA."
"For my debut album, you can expect to learn about the making of Curtis Young. The story of actually becoming a product of society. People can expect to hear the true meaning of 'Product Of My DNA' that will let people know who Curtis Young is and how I learned about my father, Dr. Dre."

y'all seen that video i posted of curtis young workin on his album in the studio with knoc-turn'al, noah jones, battlecat, etc.

It's kind of funny how he completely changed his style from the Hood Surgeon. When he was rapping under the Surgeon name, he rapped about being from Compton and shooting people in the head with a revolver. Eventually he signed to JT's label, but soon JT found out that Curtis actually lived in a wealthy bourgeois neighborhood and Curtis being afraid of loud noises, thus never experiencing black man's struggles. One malt liquor-saturated morning Bigga Figga got enough of his lies and stuck the handle of his handgun in Curtis' head. The head took two years to heal and now Curtis is back.
The song itself is shit. During his absence he hasn't been able to develop his own style, but continues shamelessly to bite his father's style. Worst part of the song was the generic Eurodance orientated female hook.

^at the end of the day JT was making money off of Game when he blew up so, let's not act like subject matter was the reason they parted ways...
