Damn.. thats a lot of money for a fuckin music video.

i think dr put out a snoop video which was the highest costing rap video at the time.... they were happy to splash the cash.....

Natural Born Killaz was a heavy priced video as well. There were 2 California Love videos. Would have been good to get some more high priced videos out there

Did the "Hour Of Chaos" version ever come out? A clip of it was shown in the "Death Row Uncut" DVD.
-
Death Row themselves had said it cost $600k to make. I remember that like yesterday.
Natural BOrn Killaz was $1 mil. Death Row was the first in Hip Hop to start putting up those budgets then BAd BOy and others followed.

Personally, I thought California Love was stated as being $800,000 to make. Back when MTV had some show that played expensive music videos and outlined the costs (specifically pointing out certain aspects of the video and what the approximate cost was to do it), I remember the total being around that much.
However, I do remember Hypnotize being a bit more expensive, which isn't surprising, as I believe they were both directed by Hype Williams, and I can see Puffy being eager to drop more cash on a video shoot for the lead single for Life After Death than Suge and Death Row did for California Love.

Well All Eyez on Me raked in hella money, so any money spent on the video works nice for a tax write off.
-
^ But seeing how bad Suge was with taxes, I'd be surprised if it was properly documented as a write-off

lol, suge doesn't handle that...that is what his accountant is for
-
^ The accountant who he forced to claim that he had embezzled money from Death Row? Steve Cantrock or something?
