▓█ Skee-Lo developed a thirst for writing, rapping and the music industry ██
▓█ at an early age. He was determined to earn a memorable place in the rap ██
▓█ game among his musical influences KRS-1, L.L. Cool J, Rakim, and Kurtis ██
▓█ Blo. ██
▓█ ██
▓█ In 1995, Skee-Lo's vision of becoming a recognized rap artist soon ██
▓█ turned into a reality when he was thrust into the limelight after the ██
▓█ release of his hit single "I Wish." The video, memorable for parodying ██
▓█ the bench scene from the movie Forest Gump, was a huge success on MTV ██
▓█ and on various radio stations. The video even went on to be nominated at ██
▓█ the Billboard Video Music Awards. ██
▓█ ██
▓█ After the wide-reception that "I Wish" received, Skee-Lo released his ██
▓█ first studio album coincidentally with the same title. The I Wish album ██
▓█ earned the recording artist two Grammy nominations; one for Best Rap ██
▓█ Album and the second for Best Solo Rap Performance. ██
▓█ ██
▓█ Shortly after the release of his debut album, I Wish, Skee-Lo's music ██
▓█ was featured on some very well-known movie soundtracks. Skee-Lo was ██
▓█ still continued to make strides by doing guest spots on various ██
▓█ television shows and studio albums. ██
▓█ ██
▓█ Now, after taking an extended hiatus from the industry, Skee-Lo is back ██
▓█ with a vengeance. The Skee-Lo of yesteryear has faded into the dust and ██
▓█ Skee-Lo version 2.0 is here to claim his seat on the throne. ██
▓█ ██
▓█ Skee-Lo resurfaces with a new sound, a new agenda and an entirely new ██
▓█ mission. Skee-Lo's new EP, Overdose, lyrically and musically ██
▓█ assassinates the monotone artistry that has become the normal standard ██
▓█ for Hip Hop artists today. ██
▓█ ██
▓█ The Overdose EP is a joint venture between SKEELO MUSIK & Premier ██
▓█ Entertainment Group, Llc. This album was released in October 2009. This ██
▓█ project includes an all-star cast of producers and artist features, some ██
▓█ of which include: Skee-Lo, Doc Ice of Whodini & U.T.F.O., Tony Kurtis as ██
▓█ JukeBoxx; with production by KolordPimp, Chey de Los, Michael "The ██
▓█ Missing Link" De Barge, and Rod 'NoName' Oakes of the award winning rap ██
▓█ group At All Costs. ██
