Floyd by a landslide 8)
how does that make any sense? Do u even know about Mosley?
There is part of me that wants Floyd to win...so Pacquiao can whoop his ass. But I have always been a big Mosley fan...and what he did to Margarito (a fighter that Floyd wanted no part of) was fuckin impressive. So I gotta say Im pulling for Floyd. If it goes to decision...it will be tough for Mosley to win unless its lopsided in his favor. Boxing politics will help out Floyd. Floyd wont be able to hurt Shane tho...so if it gets rough in there, Mosley should take it.
-
I don't see how based on skill alone, Mosley can beat Mayweather. Other than that, the other factors are a bit too wild for me to safely say it's absolute lock Mayweather will win. Mosley hasn't fought in about 16 months, and we're going to see what kind of ring rust he has and how his speed has been effected. Also, Mayweather might have a similar problem, his match vs Marquez was really just a sparring session honestly so he hasn't been in a true fight since De La Hoya, and what's that... 2 years? But again, if Mayweather shuts out Mosley people will just say Mosley is over the hill etc etc.
-
Mosley ain't gonna do shit. Don't cry too hard, Daygo lol
-
Oh and Mayweather would have embarrassed Margarito. How is a slow stationary brawler going to hang with Mayweather?
-
Another excuse to get high get drunk and eat pizza 8)
I also got Floyd dominating this fight.

Mosley by KO or Mayweather by decision.

Mayweather wanted nothing to do with Margarito. Ive actually been a pretty good fan of Mayweathers throughout the years. I appreciate his style, cus Im a boxing fan....not a "stand in the middle of the ring and throw haymakers" fan. But real shit, Mayweather wanted no part of a tall...steel chinned (until that Mosley fight), slugger who threw punches non stop. it would have been too tough a fight for Mayweather...and he didnt feel it was worth it. IMO, Mayweather completely weighs the risk/reward when he picks fights. If Margarito would have been a HUGE draw (like De La Hoya) he would take the fight...and take the risk of losing. But he didnt wanna take the risk of losing to Margarito without there being a big time pay day. And Margarito doesnt draw like that.
Mosley's biggest issue in this fight is gonna be if he fights on Mayweathers terms. The problem is...if both fighters fight THEIR fight, it could be boring. They are both counter punchers. Mayweather forces fighters to fight his fight...cus most fighters get tired of not throwing punches. Mayweather doesnt care if he throws 7 punches the entire fight...as long as he wins. He is fine with winning ugly and pissing off the crowd. Which is smart for his record. But its also the reason he needs to run his mouth like an idiot before the fight to up the PPV buys.

yeah mayweather ducked margarito a guy who had illegal substances in his handwraps... i wonder how many times before the mosley fight margarito had done that... either way i know for a fact mayweather will outclass mosley and then all the mayweather haters are going to ahve to come up with other excuses of why mayweather isnt great

He's just gonna have to fight and beat Pacman. Or lose to Mosley. Or else the fans will defend him..

First off, Im no Mayweather Hater. Ive been a big fan of the guy forever. Lately he has made himself look like even MORE of an ass tho. Saying that he is better than Ali, etc. Thats just a mistake to even make that claim. Especially when virtually every boxing analyst out there talks about his lack of quality opponents through his career. And it isnt like Roy Jones where...there just WERENT many quality opponents. Floyd has continuously ducked top notch fighters. He had the opportunity to fight Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao, and Paul Williams. He chose to fight NONE of them. Meanwhile all of those fighters fought at least one of the others. Instead he went after Carlos Baldomir and a washed up Zab Judah. Margarito did have that wrap on his hands, and true...who knows how long he had that shit. BUT, nobody knew that. Floyd didnt know it...he just ducked him. Mosley didnt know it...and he took the fight, and destroyed him. Mosley is onto something when he talks about the fact that Mayweather runs his mouth even more when he feels threatened. Thats why he keeps trying to deflect so much attention onto other things...like steroids. Cus deep down, he is probably a little scared. Throughout his entire career....he has had ALL these fighters to fight, and at this stage of his career he is fighting the best fighter he has ever faced lol. Thats ridiculous. Like I said, Im a fan of the guy inside the ring...he's an insanely skilled boxer. He just isnt as great as he thinks he is. Beating Mosley would help...cus his resume of victories isnt that impressive yet.

If Floyd loses to Mosley...its gonna make people question his WHOLE career. Cus people have always questioned his choice in opponents, and if he finally fights a top notch fighter and loses...it looks pretty bad. Especially considering Mosley wanted this fight long ago when he was in his prime and Floyd didnt.
-
im gonna go with mosley just based on that ive always liked him more but as far as the outcome its hard to say, should be a good fight
-
Floyd was willing to fight Mosley, but Mosley was complaining about going to a damn dentist and enjoying vacation. I'll say it like this, if Mayweather doesn't completely own Mosley then he's not even that good of a boxer. He's going to win 8 rounds at the very least, I would go far as saying that Mosley will be in too much pain by the 12th round. Fight might even be over. I'm drunk right now so fuck it, that's my prediction.

Floyd has always tried to make it appear as if he was willing to fight the best, but then never fought the best lol. At some point....if you were willing to fight these guys, you woulda fought them. At one point Mosley was 38-0 with 35 KO's....and Floyd makes such a big deal of his 40-0....with what, 3 KO's? lol
too much pain? If Floyd manages to hurt Mosley....its time to give Mayeather a steroid test lol. Floyd would have a hard time dropping Mosley with a low blow. Like I said, he is a great boxer....shit, one of my all time favorites is Pernell Whitaker. But he is similar to Floyd...great defense, very accurate, great boxing skill....not a hard puncher. Mosley DEFINETELY has the power advantage in this fight. Hand speed is a wash. Floyd has the advantage defensively. If Floyd wins, it will be by decision. If its a KO....then Mosley knocked him out.

mayweather has 25 k.os he does have knock out power... ask ricky hatton and he almost knocked out marquez who has never been knocked out in his career thats including two bouts with manny...

Ricky Hatton was a good KO. But it said more about Hattons chin then it did about Floyds punching power. Marquez looked like a lightweight next to Floyd lol. Floyd came into the fight overweight...basically just paying to not have to make weight. I was impressed with his win over Marquez....but it was because he out boxed him, and didnt overpower him. If he just overpowered Marquez it would have just looked like a case of the bigger man being too big. Either way...Floyd fan or not, Im sure youre not gonna argue that Floyd is some dynamic puncher lol. I dont even know if Floyd senior is stupid enough to make that claim.
Either way, the fight should be good. Its the first time we get to see Floyd in their with a real elite Welterweight. Hopefully Mosley's age wont be a factor if he has slowed down. Its hard to say since his last fight was with Margarito...not a very fast handed boxer.
Like I said...if its a KO, its cus Mosley knocked him out. If it goes to decision, advantage Floyd.

Any good live feeds? Left it too late, tried to book the fight today, but company is closed on Sundays :'(
*Found a decent feed.
Mosley looked jumpy from the opening bell, dude still on crack? lol. Wasn't a good sign, he had a great round 2, but apart from that, Mayweather dominated.
-
Great fight. Stayed up till 6am to watch it. Floyd proved how fucking good he is. Not only his punching speed and accuracy but his ability to take a dig. I think this fight did a lot of promote boxing. Fantasic.
-
Dang, I thought Mosley had him the second round... Showed he's vulnerable at least. But once Floyd got to doing what wins him rounds, it was a wash..
It's gotta be Pacman... Ain't no one else can touch this boy..
-
Mosley fucked up trying to get the knock out in the 2nd round
he should of waited for a punch like that in the 8th or 10th round
after that hit mayweather was gonna be more cautious and adopted quick
thats why he dominated the rest of fight
also he fought mayweathers fight
anyone who fights mayweathers fight is gonna take an L even Pacman himself
-
Floyd was pretty close of getting that TKO. If he was a slightly bigger risk taker, he gets it easily. Mosley was gasping for air by round 4 and it had a lot to do with Mayweather making him miss. That's one of the things that I found wack, as soon as it was obvious Mayweather was going to cruise to victory the analysts were looking for excuses for Mosley and before the right they were saying it makes no sense why Mosley is such an underdog in the betting world. And it goes back to Mayweather always being in a lose lose situation with the public. Remember, before the Mosley fight was set up people were saying Mayweather was scared to fight that he was ducking him. Now people are saying, well it's not impressive that he beat an old fighter. Guess what's going to happen if he beats Pac? Well it's not that impressive, he's supposed to beat the little guy.

Really good performance by Floyd. Mosley was killin me...he was just going for that KO too much. He never threw more then one punch at a time. Floyd pretty much did his usual thing. He controlled the pace of the fight, and his quick counterpunching kept Mosley from getting off. Mosley really shoulda been throwing combinations. Floyd was hitting him with that counter right cross, but Floyd wasnt gonna KO him. Mosley might as well have just gone for it. But Floyd does do a good job of taking away his opponents main weapons. Regardless, good performance by Mayweather. Pacquiao vs Mayweather HAS GOT TO HAPPEN now.
-
Amazing performance by mayweather, easily one of his better ones and he was coming forward too which was a suprise. The guy is just too good, i cant think of a guy even close to him skills wise as a boxer. Pacman fight has to happen though because they are easily the best two guys out there in boxing.

Yeah. To be honest I would have to say this was Floyds best performance Ive ever seen. Ive seen him dominate a fight more than this, but not against this calliber of opponent. And yeah, seeing him actually coming forward was cool.
On a side note, he REALLY should let go of this whole "Money Mayweather" persona that he holds onto. Especially before fights. Ive always talked about how Floyd makes himself out to a big piece of shit before a fight. And I understand what he is doing. I know he is TRYING to build up controversy for the fight because after he wins, he always credits the other boxer as a great fighter...when for weeks before he claims that they arent shit. But this guy would have SO many fans if he didnt come across as such a dickhead. Ali talked a lot of shit, and he had his critics...but he also came across as entertaining and funny. Not to mention he was involved in wars in the ring. Mayweathers style of shit talk just makes him look like an ass...and it has only cost him fans. He's a big draw in boxing, but not as big as some others have been...who were actually just nice guys lol. He's probably sell more tickets by creating another image of himself instead of the one he has been trying to create for years.

I personally love the Money May persona, I think having so many fans against him is a good thing, creates contreversy = more buys from those people hoping to see him lose. This fight gained him a shitload of fans, I was watching with about 20 other people, bet half of em and after I took the money they even admitted theyre fans of him now.
Pacquiao needs to man up.

Did they watch 24/7? They might go back to hating him then. lol. The thing is, Floyd is solid in the ring....and if you just watched him post fight youd think...."he's a pretty good guy". But pre fight he is a complete ass. It creates some controversy true. Its just a shame that he needs to do THAT to get people to watch. Forever he has been seen as such a boring fighter. I appreciate a skilled boxer...so I watch regardless. But because Floyd fights how he does...AND because he has always chosen to fight fighters that were considered "safe" opponents for him, he has turned alotta fans off. And now has to make himself a jerk to get people to watch him.
Pacquiao wants to fight him. So it isnt a matter of Pacquiao manning up. Floyd needs to stop making excuses and allow the fight to happen. Its always going to be difficult cus Floyd has a pretty bad relationship with Pacquiaos promoter...and the two let their egos get in the way of the fight happening. Pacquaio said he was willing to take the blood tests up to 3 weeks before the fight....he just didnt wanna take them in the 3 weeks right before the fight because he feels that giving blood weakened him against Morales when he lost (and he did not test positive obviously). But he is willing to take one directly after the fight that would prove he wasnt on anything during the fight as well. Floyd knows that Manny has this belief. He has believed it for years. So Floyd is using it as an excuse for the fight not to happen. There is absolutely no basis for accusing Pacquiao of using PED's. Floyds camp is just nervous.

lol Yeah he definetely controlled the fight. But would we have seen you back in this thread if he lost? :-X

There's a difference in the shit talking with Mayweather too though. When he was fighting Gatti, he really verbally attacked the dude's boxing skill. Against Marquez, he was pretty quiet and if anything he gave him props before the fight. The only thing that happened was after the piss drinking, Mayweather made fun of him. And against Mosley, he never really disrespected his skill or past history it was mainly just making fun of him and saying he won't lose.

Are u kidding? Saying everything from..."Shane wishes he was me...", "Shane wants to be me", "Shane is just talented, Im gifted", "Shane stop taking those steroids", "Shanes broke", "Shanes got a Jheri Curl", "He cant even get his own nickname", etc..etc. It was all personal attacks. Now like I said....Ali used to do this, but he had the right personality for it...that just made it funny. Floyd just comes across like a phoney jackass.

Nothing phoney about his record though.
Personally in everyday life I don't like arrogance, but I think its both entertaining and necessary in boxing. All boxersSHOULD be arrogant, talk shit and be disrespectful. Thats where it differs to every other sport.

Like I said, he never dissed him for his skill. There's a huge difference. You think he told Gatti that he has talent? He said Gatti was going to be easy work. He literally said he doesn't respect Gatti as a boxer. That never was the case with Mosley. Sure he dissed his suits, his hair style, his nickname, his past ped bs, but never did he say Mosley was a weak boxer.

As soon as Mayweather adjusted after a round or two, it was total domination. He knocked the curl outta Sugar Shane's hair.

He said in his interview before this fight, that he doesnt respect ANYBODY lol. Again, Floyd just spends too much time making a clown out of himself before fights. And like I said, for years I was a huge supporter. Shit, even now...against any other fighter then Shane or Pacquiao...Id probably pull for Floyd. And when I was 13 yrs old...he woulda been entertaining to watch talk shit.

Floyd has been on a campaign it seems of late to try and gain the respect of Mexican boxing fans tho. I think he realized how bad it could hurt him financially if they they all tune out of his fights. Unless he fights a great Mexican fighter...and right now there arent a ton out there that can really draw.

As well as to create buzz, I think he keeps that as a protection barrier. Fighters will know how to get in his mind if he starts being humble and talking like he ain't the best. Also, for CONFIDENCE. He needs to stay in that kinda headspace so he can shrug shit off easily and keep focused..

I could see if its for himself. I mean, if somehow it puts HIM in a comfort zone or somethin. But the shit is just annoying and kinda played. You can call it with every fight. Weeks before....here goes Floyd, he's gonna run his mouth and try to totally disrespect the other fighter. Brag and boast about how great HE thinks he is....then after the fight....talk about how great of a champion and a fighter the other guy is. If you wanna create buzz, it wont be by doing that. It would be by genuinly being insane (Tyson) or having a real beef with the other fighter. Other then that...continuously talking about your opponent being a bum...and not anywhere near as good as you, doesnt exactly make people wanna watch it.
One thing I will give him, at least he stopped telling the world he's gonna fuck these guys up...and beat em up, etc. Cus that was pissing people off. Mayweather saying "Ima punish him...Ima hurt him..." etc. Then you have the typical unanimous decision on points with his opponents face looking like its still round 1.

Guess what's going to happen if he beats Pac? Well it's not that impressive, he's supposed to beat the little guy.
I can see that happening, lol.

lol, after the fight is over, he doesn't need the shield. He can began to wind down and relax until his next fight is signed. It's at least nice to see he does have respect for his opponents in the post-match interviews.

Arum said he wants Pacquiao to have his next fight in Sept-Dec. That gives him enough time to detox off w/e enhancements he may or may not be on... I don't see why he won't take the drug tests.. If you aint on nothing, why is it such a big deal.. It isn't any kind of defamation, I think Floyd just wants an even fight, and that's the proper way to make sure he gets one..

He said he would take the drug tests already. He just believes that when he took the blood tests before the Morales fight, it made him weaker for the fight. He mentioned that way back after the Morales fight....so it isnt just some excuse he has come up with now. He believes that being the smaller man, giving blood will affect him more then Mayweather and put him at a disadvantage. He already said before, he would give blood tests all the way up until 24 days before the fight...so youll know if he has been on any PED's during training. And take another test immediately after the fight, to guarantee no PED's in his system during the fight. Sounds good enough for any logical person. Floyd is just making excuses to not fight at this point.

not really, it mostly depends on how the win happens. I was impressed with him beating Marquez mainly because he didnt just out muscle him. If he would have done that it would have been a case of a bigger man just being too big. But he out boxed him. Manny is so big in the sport right now, and had beatin so many bigger fighters...I dont think the size thing will be a huge arguing point.

whoever believes all the shit Floyd talks is a fuckin idiot
he does that to create controversy, so he can be talked about and create cash and make people wanna see him get his ass whooped
does he really think hes better then Ali and Robinson? doubt it... does he always talk mad shit about his opponents but gives them props afterward... yes
hes a humble guy. you can tell on his post fight interviews he always gives props and becomes humble... all that shit talking is just to push the fight and thats why hes the cash cow...

I try not to listen to casual fans if I can. Casual fans just wanna see two sluggers stand there and throw haymakers. Now...even tho I dont listen to em, casual fans are the reason Floyd made over 20 million on this last fight and the reason him and Pacquiao will get PAID if they fight

Maybe. But the apple doesnt fall far from the tree man...and look at his pops...and his uncle. They are attention whores. I was listenin to ESPN radio the night before the fight and one of the hosts was talkin about being in a store and seeing Floyds grandmother walk in. She had a big black hat, with gold sparkly letters on it that said "Im Floyd Mayweathers Grandma" lol. Tell me they are just a humble family.

well, technically he SHOULD win against a smaller man. Its the reason we have weight classes.

There you go, so it's always a no win situation for Mayweather. If he fights Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez, he's ducking Pac. People want him to fight everyone at once and even then, they'll find an excuse.

Dude...cmon. Thats the reality for ANY boxer. Obviously, we wouldnt have weight classes if it wasnt. If Floyd (or any fighter) fought and beat a bigger man, it would be more impressive then if he fought and beat a smaller man.....am I right??
And Floyd COULD fight Martinez. I can tell you right now...Floyd will not touch Paul Williams lololol. He doesnt typically like fighting bigger opponents...especially not bigger active opponents. As I said before tho, with Pacquiao the size thing shouldnt be much of an issue....given who Manny has already beatin.

That's my point, he needs to fight everyone and the best in 147-160 in order for some people to even give him props.

Not everyone. But amongst true boxing fans there has always been some question as to who Floyd choses to fight. No one ever really questions whether he is a great fighter. But when you take someone like Mosley...or Pacquiao....or shit, even De La Hoya (who I think has made a HOF career off of LOSING to the greats of this generation lol), they have fought EVERY big fighter of their generations. They didnt duck anyone. Mosley took on guys like Winky Wright and Vernon Forrest. Guys who gave him all kinds of trouble. But guys who no one else wanted to fight. Roy Jones drew some criticism for his opponents...but it was always recognized that it wasnt HIS fault that he didnt have many great fighters to fight. There just werent any out there. Floyd moved into a weight class with Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Williams, Pacquiao...etc. All of those guys were ranked way ahead of Oscar. But who did Floyd fight? An aging De La Hoya. When you look at those fighters, all of them have fought at least ONE of the others guys. Floyd has fought none of em...until just now when Mosley is 38. Even HBO made the comment that Floyd was a big favorite in this fight with Mosley...not necessarily because everyone just thinks he is the better fighter. But because betters know that Floyd wouldnt take a fight against a dangerous fighter....unless that fighter (Mosley) was just done. Those arent my words....thats HBO, who has a business interest in building UP Floyd. Too many people think that when you criticize an athlete...its hate. lol Thats childish. I think Floyd is great...but its his OWN fault that so many people question his heart, and question where he actually stands in the ranks of all time greats. And also his fault that Pacquiao is the consensus P4P champ right now.
-
Mayweather got to Welterweight at the wrong time. Was he not facing the best as he was moving up all the way to Welterweight? He did work and if Oscar was in his prime at 147 when Mayweather was coming guaranteed they would have fought each other. Oscar was still fighting, albeit over the hill... so what was any boxer in Mayweather's position to do? Fight Oscar of course. That's a no brainer. In retrospect, Margarito and Cotto weren't the boxers that they were being billed at the time. Without a doubt, Mayweather would have ran circles around Margarito and make him look foolish. Probably not knock him out, but the end result would be an easy W for Mayweather. Cotto might have been a bit more interested, but his movement isn't good at all so that's just isn't good news for him to fight Mayweather. When it comes to Pac, I'll predict this. Mayweather TKO Victory before 10 rounds.

Kind of hard to say "if he fought them" you know? You have to see two fighters get in the ring. Margarito destroyes Cotto, Cotto beat Mosley, and Mosley destroyes Margarito lol.
The thing is, EVERYBODY wanted to fight De La Hoya at one point. So Floyd was no different of course. De La Hoya is the money maker and everyone knew it. You fight De La Hoya, its gonna be a big fight and you will get paid. So unfortunately the politics of boxing creates fights like that...rather then ones that SHOULD happen. The problem for me only comes when Mayweather runs his mouth about being the greatest...and no one can compare. Shit like "just look at my record" lol. Of course he is undefeated. He weighs every opponent on a risk/reward basis. And if a tough fighter is out there, but not a big enough name for him to make 20 million off the fight...he wont take it. Even if THAT is the best fighter out there for him to fight. How many of the GREATEST fighters were undefeated?? The reason is because the greatest fighters, for the most part, fought the OTHER greatest fighters of their era. Not just the ones that they could make the most money on...and be able to beat. If Mayweather wants to say he has the greatest record right now...cool. Cant argue against that. But dont give me that bullshit about being the greatest when youve hid from the other elite fighters.
Btw, this is the issue I used to have with people saying Julio Caeser Chavez was the greatest when he was like 80-0....and no one could name even 5 fighters that he faced cus they were all nobodies lol
And for Mayweather/Pacquiao (if it happens). I dunno what to think. Really I think it can go either way. Everytime I watch Pacquiao...I get worried that he is in there with someone too big who might drop him...and then he crushes them. So if De La Hoya or Cotto couldnt stop him (who are much harder punchers then Floyd), I dont see how Floyd will KO him. The key will be for Pacquiao to punch in combinations. Thats the mistake Mosley made. You cant go for the one punch KO with Floyd. Plus, when you punch only once at a time it makes it too easy for him to counter. I say Pacquiao by decision.

So the Olympic style testing requires tests directly before and after the fight? Yeah, 24 hours is a short enough span, I didn't know that. In that case, man up Floyd!

Manny doesnt want the blood taken in the last 3 weeks before the fight....but said he would take another blood test immediately after the fight to prove no PED's in his system during the fight. His only other stipulation he said, is that he doesnt wanna be woken up in the middle of the night to give blood which is understandable during training.
Anyways, there should be HUGE pressure for this fight to happen now. I think the previous attempt was also made difficult because they had a short time span to work with...since Manny is running for office this May. So they should have plenty of time to work out the details. Its gonna mainly come down to Arum and Mayweather putting their ego's aside I think.

You know what I was just thinking. Did Mosley stay the champion on Saturday?! Cus Floyd didnt challenge for the belt.

Oh I see. Yeah, even right after the fight if there's anything he's been taking, it will show up for sure. I think they both know the true test of their skill lies within facing each other. Aside from the money, I do believe Floyd wants to prove his worth as the legit pound for pound best. His ego commands it.
Floyd truly shows boxing is an art, and a science, and that's why I started watching. It intrigues me to want to see him face the cardiac fury of Pacquiao. I would def Floyd the best of this decade if he can defeat Pacman.

Wikipedia said this: WBA Super World welterweight title not on the line for Mayweather; only for Mosley.

Manny Pacquiao appeared to soften his stance about blood testing, saying he would be willing to undergo testing 14 days before a fight if it helps set up a showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr., ESPN reported Monday.
Mayweather and Pacquiao had originally agreed to a megafight last year before it broke down in a dispute over blood and urine testing. Mayweather wanted strict testing before the fighting, hinting that he thought Pacquiao had taken performance-enhancing drugs. Pacquiao, meanwhile, wanted a cutoff of blood testing 24 days before any fight.
Pacquiao has said he feels drawing blood would make him weaker.
"I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood (tests) as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test," Pacquiao said on his official website, ESPN reported.
No talks have restarted on a possible Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, ESPN reported.
The two sides had agreed on everything except the drug testing in January. But when they couldn't agree on the testing, each went his separate way. But talk of the bout restarted after Mayweather beat Shane Mosley on Saturday night.
"If Manny Pacquiao can take a blood and urine test then we have a fight," Mayweather said Saturday night. "If not, no fight."
Pacquiao is currently campaigning in the Philippines for a seat in Congress. His promoter, Bob Arum, said he wasn't concerned about a fight right now.
"I'm not going to lose any sleep over it," Arum said Sunday, the Associated Press reported. "What I'm concerned about right now is Manny winning the election. If the fight doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. We're not going to be dictated to."

I think Floyd can handle those combinations, if Pac can even throw them at Floyd. Every fighter seems to stop doing what's working for them against Mayweather in the early rounds. It's no coincidence, Floyd adjusts. Every boxer has lowered their workrate dramatically against Floyd, except for the first Castillo fight. That shows you that Floyd makes the opponent think twice about going after him. I know Mayweather has no punching power, but De La Hoya or Cotto do not have the accuracy Floyd has. I don't care how weak it is, if you keep on getting hit by solid shot after solid shot while getting tired from missing...it could be over sooner than the 12th round.

As far as Floyd. I kinda respect him not fighting for Shanes belt I guess. I think a lot of those within boxing do too. I dunno about the fee. Basically when you fight for the title and win, the WBA would have received a percentage of his fight money. I believe its substantial too...like 2 or 3 % which with what Floyd earned off this fight would probably have been like $300,000. He said the belt would just "collect dust"...so he didnt wanna pay them

Those sources are wrong? Fail video translation? =x
Also I Read he promised his mother only 1 more fight after Cotto (Clottey), and now she wants him to retire? lol.. He's gonna have to exercise some grown-man authority cuz he can't retire now!

Yeah, they're wrong because they're all based on Pacquiao's "official" website which turns out wasn't his actual website
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=27461
BoxingScene.com contacted Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz about the report and asked him to double-check with Pacquiao.
Koncz got back to us a short while after he spoke to Pacquiao at his residence and said Pacquiao categorically stated "he never spoke to any reporter and never heard of the guy” who filed the story, even as he maintained that he had no official website although there are people who claim that they handle his "official site" [mpboxing.com].
The story came out last night around 2am, Pacific time in the U.S. and ESPN barely picked up a few hours ago even after it was already been debunked.

Rewatching Mayweather-Mosley 2nd round, and fucking Floyd's recovery after the 2nd hit is fucking impressive. He was able to shorten the distance, change to getting his both hands up to defend and when they did clinch, he was hitting Mosley with some body shots. Once the distance was shortened, Mayweather started countering everytime Mosley stepped in. And it got to the point where Mayweather was chasing him around to the ring trying to stay close while Shane of course trying to get good distance to release a good shot. And that's basically how the rest of the right set up.

Yeah. They said the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight would be projected to put up over 2 million...maybe around 2.4 million buys.
