so, pretty much the two current rock bands i am really care anything about are both releasing their albums, but they are both on torrents already
i gotta say, after 1st listen both are dopeness
the black keys are still on that production sound from their last album, but its still keeps an elements of dirty/grimey/lo-fi blues, and its fucking awesome, 1 or 2 songs, im not feelign as much, (next girl & the go getter) cause i feel that the rap influence from their blakroc project has seeped in, and its just not really fitting, the lyrics mostly, .. btw the flute on tighten up is sick, and the whole album just dope
the dead weather album is not as boisterous as i was thinking it would be, after hearing them live at coachella, but instead its more versitile and enjoyable imo, it still got the umph of their 1st record, but taken one step further, anything jack white touches is gold, and this is no exeption... and if you havent peeped them live at coachella, there is good quality live vid, which is worth it!!!

Thanks for the info. I'll check them both out.

Where should I start with the Black Keys?
entire catalog is fire, no kidding, the later stuff is a more 'produced" like Attack & Release had danger mouse, while the earlier stuff is more garage and grimier, also note to check out Blakroc if you like rap, one of my fav rap albums in the recent history

Where should I start with the Black Keys?
Start with 'Thickfreakness' or 'Rubber Factory'. Those 2 are the Keys at their best but everything they've released has been awesome or better IMO. They're a top 5 band for me for sure.
I'll have to peep The Dead Weather more. Jack White hasn't really done anything for me after the first 3 Stripes albums.

the dead weather first record is nice, the new one is pure trash
