If they were both still alive, what would be the outcome of a debate between them?

Who do you think was closest to the truth?

This is like psychology where you have to choose Freud or Skinner... I will not accept that one man is absolutely right. Both Keynes and Friedman had great ideas and both of those ideas can actually coincide with each other. Keynes used too many controls in my opinion but Friedman took deregulation way too far... Keynesian economics had hurt the UK in the early 80s and Friedman's style is hurting us today (and during the Bush years). Both men had great theories and the smart economists can utilize the best of both theorists while discarding the worst from them.
