Eminem and Jay-Z attended Wednesday night’s New York-Detroit game at Comerica Park to announce they’d be playing a Comerica Park show on Sept. 2. The blockbuster show is part of a two-concert stand that will include a Sept. 13 date at New York’s Yankee Stadium — a home-and-home series for Detroit’s Eminem and New York’s Jay-Z. They made the announcement during appearances on several television broadcasts of Wednesday night’s game.

“Not Afraid,” lead track from the Eminem’s upcoming album “Recovery,” has debuted atop Billboard’s Hot 100 to become his third No. 1 single. Propelled by 380,000 digital downloads — the top first-week tally for any track this year — “Not Afraid” becomes the 16th song in history to debut at No. 1.
