Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Mark Morrison returns this summer, with "B'Day", a 2010 funk-infected anthem, the first leak from the upcoming release of his hugely anticipated new album, "I Am What I Am".
His breakthrough single "Return of the Mack" became a top ten hit around the world in 1996, paving the way for four more top ten hits; "Crazy", "Trippin'", "Horny" and "Moan and Groan", making him the first artist in British pop history to have five Top-10s from their debut album.
This cemented his position as one of the most successful British R&B singers of the '90s. A raft of awards followed as Mark was nominated for four Brit Awards, a Mercury Music Prize nomination, an MTV Europe Music Awards nomination and five MOBO Awards nominations, where he took home Best R&B Act.
Mark's last outing was "Innocent Man" featuring DMX, the lead track from his 2006 album, which also appeared in sample form on Innocent Man (Misunderstood) by Cassidy, reaching #3 on Billboard's Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart in November 2007.
"B'Day" showcases Morrison's distinctive, soulful vocals. The track, which features Warren G, a pioneer for the G-Funk genre, is a fantastic summer R&B/pop crossover anthem. Check out the song below:

-
Not bad. Please Warren do the 213 album!!
-
wow, at first i thought WTF is this, but this is really tight and got potential to blow up on the radio....its got a old school west coast mainstream type vibe, sort of like bop gun or parliament funkadelic songs... i hope warren drops more songs like this he flows very nice on here. the g-child is back!
-
Not bad
That Aussie would have creamed in her pants. Just wait until she takes the vocals and makes a remix of it. She'll take over the rap game 8)
-
the beat is bangin!!! did warren g produce it?
but mark morrison's voice sounds real loud and crazy (in a bad way) with the added autotune effects and whatnot. and that annoying vocal sound on the beat. potential to be a great track, but those things make it almost unlistenable :-\
-
I like the beat and Warren's verse but Morrison's voice sounds too over-produced to the point where he sounds annoying.
-
by the end you got the random horn, yelling sound and the insanely loud mark morrison autotuned wailing vocals you can barely hear the beat at all. my ears feel violated.
warren's verse is the nicest part if it were not for the yelling sound on the beat. what the hell man :-\

True that dude.

Nice beat, shame about the autotune crap. Warren G on point
-
It does have a bit of a summer vibe. Not bad really.

These are the kind of tracks I love to hear GDub on. This will be fucking huge, its already been downloaded 200,000 times here http://omg.ly/FReT I've seen it on a ton of other sites too. Return of the mack never gets old for me. Innocent Man f. DMX was good too.

There isnt even much autotune in this, and that isnt even Morrison singing on the loud part of the hook, Morrison does verse 1, verse 2 and the adlibs "champagne when you thirsty", nearly all new songs are using autotune HEAVILY like enrique iglaisias ft pitbull, sean kingston ft justin beiber etc. this is some 2010 CAMEO style shit! funk on! Warren G just took a big shit on the game.
