Yeah, it's a shocker. The first thing on your mind was probably something like, "Wait, you mean former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight? But, he's always been known as being such a peaceful chap. I can't recall him ever breaking the law, or being violent with anyone. This must be a mistake."
Well, believe it or not, early this morning Knight allegedly pointed a gun at a man from his Cadillac, before speeding off and eventually taken into custody by the LAPD. He's currently be held on $65,000 bail.
A few points of interest on this case:
1. If Knight were in posession of a gun, it would violate his parole, thus landing him back in jail.
2. $65,000 might seem easily in Knight's range, but remember his label went entirely bankrupt. This fee is not just a slap on the wrist.
3. Suge Knight is about 6'4" and around 300 lbs. You would think just pointing at someone would strike the same amount of terror as aiming a gun would.

1. Actually, he would go to prison. Jail =/= prison.
2. It's been understood that Suge has quite a bit of money stashed away, perhaps in offshore accounts. $100+ million doesn't just disappear, especially when you were in prison for five or six out of the past fifteen years.
3. True that. As old as he is now, Suge is still keeping it gangsta, which is stupid but entertaining.

Details have emerged in the most recent arrest of rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight.
According to reports, Knight was arrested by police in Gardenia, California, after he allegedly waved a gun at another motorist while driving his white Cadillac Escalade.
While details are still surfacing, Knight had an altercation with another man on Wednesday evening (May 19th) in Los Angeles, when he brandished the weapon.
Knight, 45, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery and Homicide Division and charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and driving with a suspended license.
Police are still attempting to locate and identify the man Knight allegedly threatened.
Knight was originally held at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division but was soon transferred to a downtown jail, where he is being held on $65,000 bail.

A witness in the Suge Knight incident told police that the rap mogul pointed a gun at another car this morning -- while sitting in the driver's seat of his own SUV, this according to law enforcement sources.
We're told that after cops received the information, officers located Suge's car in the Los Angeles area and initiated a "high risk stop."
We're told multiple officers drew their firearms and ordered Suge -- and two other women -- out of the vehicle. Suge was eventually taken into custody and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and driving on a suspended license.
Suge's bail has been set at $65,000.
UPDATE 12:13 PM PT: Suge just posted bail.

Rap businessman innocent of weapons charge, attorney says
The lawyer for Marion "Suge" Knight insists the rap music mogul did not point a gun at a man Wednesday night in the Los Angeles area.
"He's innocent, 100 percent," Marc Brumer told CNN in a phone interview. "Suge Knight is a businessman. He is not a person who would carry a gun or flash a gun at anybody. That's not Suge Knight."
Knight, 45, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon involving a firearm and with driving under a suspended license, the Los Angeles Police said.
According to investigators, an unidentified man reported that Knight aimed a weapon at him. Knight, who co-founded Death Row Records, was later found driving a Cadillac Escalade in the city of Gardena, in the greater Los Angeles area, police said. He was arrested there without incident just after midnight, authorities said.
Knight was released after posting $60,000 bail, his attorney said.
Brumer said Knight was driving in the area because he was meeting with a young music artist.
Knight would be cleared of the charges against him, the attorney said.
"There was never a gun found," Brumer said. "He was very cooperative, answered all the questions police had, and we just feel that he shouldn't have been arrested."
Brumer suggested that the man who said Knight pointed a gun at him should be investigated for making a false allegation.
"There are a lot of people that hate (Knight) and are jealous of what he has obtained in his life," Brumer said.

Dont think he will ever learn.

(AllHipHop News) Marion "Suge" Knight’s lawyer has denied reports that the 45-year-old mogul pointed a gun at a man during an argument Wednesday (May 19th) in Los Angeles.
Knight was arrested in Gardena by a group of LAPD officers from the Homicide & Robbery Division just after 12:00 AM Thursday morning.
The former head of Death Row Records allegedly pointed a gun at him in Los Angeles during the altercation.
Knight was on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and driving with a suspended license. He was released after posting $60,000 in bail.
"He's innocent, 100 percent," Marc Brumer told CNN. "Suge Knight is a businessman. He is not a person who would carry a gun or flash a gun at anybody. That's not Suge Knight."
Brumer noted that police never found the alleged weapon when they arrested Knight, who cooperated with authorities.
"There are a lot of people that hate (Knight) and are jealous of what he has obtained in his life," Brumer said of a motive for the latest accusations levied at Knight.
According to Brumer, Knight is looking to return to the music industry as the head of his own record label.
"He's working with new artists, starting a record label, looking into sports management companies," Brumer said. "He's really an icon in the music industry, and really looked up to in the African-American community. "He's a bright man. He wouldn't carry a gun on him. That's not him."

Charges will get dropped.. no gun found on him. ;)

Some more info from Tmz...
But sources tell us the gas station surveillance footage doesn't show Knight brandishing any sort of weapon. We're told the video -- which is now in the hands of investigators -- does show a group of people who seem to recognize Suge and approach his SUV. Suge never gets out of the car and ultimately drives away.
However, Suge's rep acknowledges that Knight was involved in a confrontation that occurred when, "some guy walked up to the window and started talking to the women in the car disrespectfully."
The rep adds, "This made Suge mad so he left the gas station. He never got out of the car and he never had any gun on him.”

Damn Suge...There is another post of Dre in Monaco with Iovine while Suge is still on the streets of LA with dudes testing him like never before...Unless Big Suge wises up soon, it's only a matter of time..Either a long prison sentence or death. Maybe both....Seriously, I used to respect Big Suge so much during the DR era and as much as I hate what he has done to help the demise of DR and Westcoast hip hop in general, I kind of hate to see dude go out this way.
