so Eminem finally drops a dope, non pop-based, serious single & it's the beat that makes it a "terrible song"?
i love reviews. ;D

serious single? are you on drugs? no offence but this song is some emo trash. if i was 15 years old rebel from suburbs i'd probably call this song a serious one but now i'm too old to buy it. and i must say i'm only 26 and i used to like eminem songs. that's my opinion

emo? i find it more uplifiting than emo.
not that it's a phenominal single/song either, but it's better than We Made You, Just Lose It, Ass Like That & those ridiculous singles of his.

it is pretty terrible, but it doesn't ruin the song for me.
-
It's just not working.
-
I actually love this song. The beat is fine with me, something you wouldnt normally hear em on, biggup to boi1da from t.o. working with the biggest hiphop artist in the world.
And ya the video is down.

the beat maybe you can make the argument; but lyrically, it's not like his other singles; he has a message.
a "pop rap" song for me is something like "Just Lose It" or "We Made You".
-
His other songs have messages, usually it's a mockery of modern pop pop culture and how it's too inflated with a sense of self-purpose.
Just cause this message is in your face doesn't mean the other ones are lacking.
Some of y'all will love Eminem to death, some will hate him, and other wills enjoy what they like and dismiss the rest of his material.

have you ever read the book Scrotie McBoogerballs?

Yes, but it's true.
Take Just Lose It,
What else could I possibly do to make noise?
I done touched on everything, but little boys
That's not a stab at Michael
That's just a metaphor, I'm just psycho
I go a little bit crazy sometimes
I get a little bit out of control with my rhymes
The entire verse 2 makes fun of pop songs from the 90s,
Well, it's Friday and it's my day
Just to party all the way to Sunday
Maybe 'til Monday, I dunno what day
Everyday's just a holiday
Crusin' on the freeway
Feelin' kinda breezy
Got the top down, lettin' my hair blow
I dunno where I'm goin'
All I know is when I get there
Someone's gonna "touch my body"
Here he's making fun of traditional serious rap song,
Now this is the part where the rap breaks down
It gets real intense, no one makes a sound
Everything looks like it's 8 Mile now
The beat comes back and everybody lose themselves
Snap back to reality
-
The song is still terrible.
-
On one hand I agree because I don't listen to it but on the other hand I respect it.
-
i actually never looked at the song that way; pretty interesting.
The song is still terrible.
true lol.

i get what you are saying my equal about the lyrics to those old songs, but if you listen to pop rap now,it's about these lil messages with those type of beats nowadays, i swear ever since that were's the love bep song these are songs that the pop fans eat up and jimmy and them majors know, that's why t.i will have about 5 of these on his album, same as jigga with that forever young, trust me em knows exactly what he's doing with extra thanks to jimmy yell
