Title: Charles Hamilton Interview w/ Vibe (Rihanna interested, Slaughterhouse not)
Post by: The-Leak (aka) kingwell (bka) JULES on June 08, 2010, 08:32:55 PM
Charles make his monthly "What?" comments with this Vibe interview.   Although humble, his ambition can sometimes encourage a negative judgment from his fans...  Anyways, here's some excepts, and link to full interview.  It's an aight read!

Quote
Joell, Royce, Crooked, Joe, yall did me dirty! I was supposed to be the fifth member of Slaughterhouse and they know it. Me, Royce and three other people drove out to Jersey, kicking the breeze. I was like ‘let’s start a group.’ He was like, ‘Charles, you’re on a major label.’ He calls up Joe and I already had Crooked’s number, so we do the illest conference call. Joe Budden says to me very sternly, “Charles, we are not your age. We cannot afford a failure. And we don’t want to be a failure and bring you down from your situation.“ I said, ‘y’all are representing hip-hop. Only way y’all fail, is if y’all don’t spit.’ Royce was with it, but I know the love is still there. If they’re still on board, I’m with it.

First time I met her, I completely blew it. I walked up to her and asked if she’s real. She was looking crazy good. She gave me the ‘I’m interested’ face but this was before the big incident [with Chris Brown]. How do you tell someone, ‘I’m your knight and shining armor, but I’m two feet shorter than you?’  I took guesses when I saw [the “Hard” video]. I was like ‘Oh shit. Maybe!’ I thought “Hard” was her way of saying, ‘Yeah, nigga made a mixtape about me.’

It's either a joke (which is going over most people's heads); partial truth (there was lots of videos floating around of them together before the group formed); or a lie.

Either way, who cares?

He's not dissing them nor is he looking for attention.  They asked him and he responded.

Anyways, looking forward to My Heart.

No offence to Bless but he is trash to compared to the other four.   They all agreed it would be better for their success if they kept it at the four they had.  And 5 ppl in a group, makes for 5 verses, and they barely made 4 work on the SH album, so yeah...  Plus Nino ain't paid his dues, all the other 4 been grinding for a minute and deserved each other. *no homo*

As for Charles, his style wouldn't have fit, you're right.  He is a great lyricist, but I think his age and personality detracts him from the street orientated punchlines that are SH's pedigree..  also one of the reasons I can dig a Chuck song more than a SH song..

PS: Nino quit cuz he couldn't handle the industry, duke woulda suicided if he got to SH status, dont you think?

That was dope, I like him man, just saying on the punchline shit, he's not up there with them.  I value this kinda song more than a SH punchline track anyday though..   At the beginning I thought Ortiz wouldn't keep up with the other 3, but he proved me wrong...

Only thing is I question his intensity of some of his songs, dunno if it's his style or accent that is throwing me off there..

Anyways, I checked his twitter, and it appears he is gonna release Untold Scriptures 2?  So he came out of retirement or what?
